Nice hotel with breakfast and (pay) parking. Staff friendly. Hotel had many guests but never felt crowded - except breakfast! But who doesn’t appreciate breakfast included these days. The carpeting in rooms gives a dated appearance - and is not the most hygienic especially for a hotel that allows pets. There were plenty of dogs. Pool wasn’t heated and was cold! The free mini golf coupons were appreciated and the kids used them. There were also two vodka drinks in the fridge - these touches (the drinks, cookies offered in afternoon, water in lobby and coupons and discounts for nearby things) do make a difference. The hotel is a bit of a walk from the beach especially as once you reach the beach / boardwalk it is the section with no sand! Just dunes and a small spit of sand. Overall good hotel but on pricey side.

We had a terrific stay except for the fact that our air conditioner unit was badly leaking and half the room was soaking wet on the carpet. We spent both mornings waiting for maintenance and missed precious time at the beach. The staff did all they could and provided a modest refund but because we booked through Expedia they advised us that they could not refund more. Told to call 800-319-4838 to discuss further but that number is inactive.

Hidden charges

We were unhappy with hidden charges. We booked the room for three nights at $300/night or a total of around $900. The total bill was $1265! We were charged 10%/night for "amenity fees," we were charged $25/night parking fee, and we were charged more than 10%/night for various Delaware and Bethany Beach taxes. We were advised by the hotel that no maid service would be provided, unless requested. We discovered upon arrival that the hotel charges $25/day for maid service if you made that request, which we decided against. In addition, each room has its own air conditioning unit which was inadequate to remove humidity, leaving the room with a dank smell. We definitely would not stay at this hotel again.

Booked a stay for one night, but wish we could have stayed longer. The staff was so helpful, the hotel is recently updated and beautiful. It offers many amenenites such as free beach chairs and umbrella for each day of your stay, delicious free buffet breakfast, onsite parking...although there is an extra charge for that.

It was first time at Bethany beach, The front desk welcome service wasn't great for me, initially the lady just give me the key card n nothing explained about other benefits how it was explained to other customers in front of me. But later for some reason they told me with the vouchers which wasn't pleasant for me. They should treat all customers in same way as we paid same amount of money. Also there is bad smell after we entered the facility not sure what but wasn't great at all. All about my first impression wasn't good at all. Next time if I go Bethany Beach definitely I will choose new hotel. Thanks

Convient hotel
