Over the past three years, I have chosen to stay at Bally's, as I believe it is the safest hotel option in Dover when I drop my student off at college. However, since my stays are typically only 2-3 days, I have overlooked some of the room maintenance issues, but I can no longer do so. Bally's is not a top-tier hotel; it feels quite outdated, and there has been minimal upkeep in the rooms. The pool has been closed for over four years, and given the pricing of the rooms, there should be more amenities available. In my opinion, the room rates should be between $89 and $100 per night. During my most recent stay this past weekend, I noticed that the shower door was off its track, and it felt down why I was in the shower, I was fortunate that it didn’t fall on me. Additionally, the lamp was old, and several outlets were not functioning properly. This hotel is in dire need of a complete remodel to enhance the overall experience.
