Very impressed with this place. It was very quiet due to the time of year so we used the pool a couple of times and practically had it to ourselves. Pool was really nice and plenty of beds, towels and canopies. Hotel had laid on some goodies for our anniversary and it was really nice, chocolates and prosecco was nice. Balcony of the suite overlooked the golf course so great views. The golf courses are not attached to this hotel though, they are right by them though. I played the Waste Open course and it was a 5 min drive. Didn’t eat in the hotel apart from breakfast which was fine. Would happily use again if in the area although the Hyatt next door did look nice as well and is attached to the courses.
While my previous stay at this hotel was unimpressive, this stay was a much better experience. Front desk staff 5/5 Room comfort and cleanliness 5/5 Location 5/5 Price 2/5 (very expensive) Restaurant 3/5 Plenty of free parking air this hotel. Restaurants and shopping short drive away (but Uber or Lyft way easier than trying to park downtown) Was surprised there was no Marriott Rewards Concierge Lounge, especially considering the property is more of a standard Marriott than a resort class hotel (Marriott resort properties don’t have the lounge, but have other amenities that make up for it) Still had a nice stay. Good job 4/5
I stayed at the Scottsdale Marriott while attending a conference. From the moment I arrived I knew that this place was special. My room was on the "garden" level, which meant I had a walk-out patio. It was fun watching the quail play during breaks in my conference. The room was spectacular, and immaculate. Everything worked properly and the bed was extremely comfortable. The gym was reasonably well equipped, and had large windows facing outdoors - much better that the closets many hotels call a gym. The restaurant ("Agave") was great. Staff offered suggestions for meals and drinks, and all of the food was delicious. The banquet staff was well trained, serving more like a 5-star restaurant than hotel staff. At the front desk, Richmonde was extremely helpful ensuring that I got extra decaf coffee delivered to my room each day. Bottom line, I highly recommend this hotel. My only regret is that my wife wasn't with me! Oh, there is a small business airport nearby. While the planes flew over regularly, you couldn't hear them inside the building.
The room is very nice, one bedroom with separate living area, two TVs, good size bathroom, etc. There is not much within hotel's walking distance, but the complementary shuttle service (within 5 miles) is a nice option to have. I had two different shuttle drivers and both are very nice, act almost as tour guide during the five minute short ride. The check in/out people at front desk are also very friendly. But the service at the lobby area restaurant is somewhat disappointing. It takes 20 minutes to bring up the breakfast ordered during a Sunday morning (not very busy) and no apology is given. The server never come back to ask for refill on the juice or coffee. Also witness a customer visibly upset with the server and complain loudly in the middle of the table area. Hopefully this is an isolated incident.
I booked two nights here to actually focus on finishing a project, and it turned out to be perfect for that purpose. (I’m local.) I usually stay at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge when I host meetings, so I thought I’d try this one instead since i wasn’t going to use all the amenities and it was a great price. I was upgraded to a lovely golf course view suite that was just fine for my purposes. Not luxurious but good enough. Easy self parking if you want that. Everyone working here has been lovely. And I have to say I was surprised at how good the food was. I ordered most meals in my room and they arrived in less than 30 minutes. The steak and veg chop salad was wonderful. Good beds and linens, and good workspace for those traveling for business. The pool looked nice (nothing special) and the workout room was good. The machines were a bit older but worked fine, and they had brand new flex-balls and medicine balls and other fresh looking equipment. My few complaints are that when I checked in they only had one poor guy working both valet and as a bellman, which surprised me on a Saturday night. So I had to wait a bit for him to bring up my bag, but he was awesome and very helpful. The other would be that I requested more toiletries using the Marriott app at 5:30 one afternoon and never heard or received anything. (If these hotels don’t use the app, they should let guests know so they aren’t waiting and know to call instead.) And when you call the service button you get sent various places — one time was front desk, another was some back office; i guess they were busy. But I think I actually prefer this hotel for quick business getaways now since their prices are better and I don’t need a lot of pampering when I’m just getting work done.
We stayed there the night before a Globus tour. This hotel is beautiful. My husband was impressed it was close to where the Barrett-Jackson car show is held. The suite we had was beautiful and comfortable. We ate 3 times at the restaurant on premises. It was excellent.
We spent two nights at the Marriott last week. The rooms are large - I loved the fact that the bedroom had doors and that there was a television in the sitting area as well as the bedroom. Very clean, friendly staff, and very accommodating. I would recommend it highly.
What beautiful accommodation in the middle of a desert. We loved having drinks & a light snack on the back verandah in the evenings. Watching the birds, listening to the peace. Such amazing staff, from Lauren at checkin to the Charles, Paul & Jim helping with luggage & the shuttle. Nothing was too much for any of these staff & their level of friendliness as well as professionalism was unique. Highly recommend this amazing place
Structure the hotel looks ok , but the breakfast eas indecent. Basically nothing at 7 am of a Sunday morning. Too bad for such an hotel...you get more at motel 6. not suggested for food.We were traveling in group and someone got nothing to eat. ee ask for a banana and they waiter say no
What a lovely place to stay. I spent two nights here prior to a group tour but would have gladly spent more time at this wonderful hotel. I rated this hotel 4-star because of the following comments. The downside to this hotel is that it is somewhat remote however, they compensate by providing a convenient shuttle that will take you to restaurants and shopping centers nearby. I used this service several times. Also you can expect noise from the nearby small airport during take-offs and landings of small airplanes and small jets. My room was large with a great view and a very comfortable bed. The pool was very nice with shade as well as sunny spots and generally quiet (except for the occasional small airplane) so it was nice for relaxation. The bar was a convenient spot to meet those arriving for the tour. The staff was efficient and served good drinks. There was a nice outdoor seating area for breakfast, lunches and dinner but by late afternoon it was almost too hot to be seated out there. The food I ordered for breakfasts and lunches was very good. Would recommend this hotel despite the negative aspects.
