When I checked in I was told that my room number was 4250. When my key card didn't open the door, I was told that my room number was actually 4520. It is a very long distance from room 4250 to room 4520. It was a very long walk for a 65 year old man with two bad knees. I wrote a bad review on their survey and I received an email back saying they would try to make sure that this didn't happen to someone else in the future. That is not what I would call satisfactory customer service. Especially from a Marriott Resort.
pool was warm. there are lots of spas. shopping is great. going back again people are wonderful. easy to get around with uber. i can't say enough about the weather as it is always perfect. if you like the beach (which i don't) this is not the place for you. if you like dry weather, beautiful mountains, fresh air than this is heaven.
This was a wonderful hotel. My husband was there on business. The setting, the staff, the rooms were all wonderful! The accommodations here were terrific. We are planning a family trip to Arizona and this is where we will stay for sure.
Breakfast was great! The suites have a nice floorpan: separate living room area with wet bar and then french doors close off the bedroom area. Bathroom has a nice size tub and separate shower. 2 Huge TV's. Nice balcony. Very nice staff. Only negatives - the bed was lumpy. And the towels were not soft.
This is a good hotel and has larger suite style rooms most of which have a view of the adjacent golf course. There is a good pool area and an outdoor patio attached to the Agave restaurant with a fire pit at night. The restaurant could be better but overall this is a good hotel very close to the McDowell Mountains and the Gateway Park.It is also close to Kierland Common Mall and the Scottsdale Airport.
I stayed three nights at this property for a business conference. I was very impressed. From what I gathered, all room are suites. So you get a bedroom and a separate living/sitting room. Therefore, very spacious and comfortable. The grounds are scenic with a nice pool and outdoor patio seating. There are no restaurants/entertainment options within walking distance, but the hotel does provide shuttle service to area attractions. Take advantage, because the hotel's food and wait staff were just average. I give this property four stars for the larger rooms.
Very impressed with this place. It was very quiet due to the time of year so we used the pool a couple of times and practically had it to ourselves. Pool was really nice and plenty of beds, towels and canopies. Hotel had laid on some goodies for our anniversary and it was really nice, chocolates and prosecco was nice. Balcony of the suite overlooked the golf course so great views. The golf courses are not attached to this hotel though, they are right by them though. I played the Waste Open course and it was a 5 min drive. Didn’t eat in the hotel apart from breakfast which was fine. Would happily use again if in the area although the Hyatt next door did look nice as well and is attached to the courses.
While my previous stay at this hotel was unimpressive, this stay was a much better experience. Front desk staff 5/5 Room comfort and cleanliness 5/5 Location 5/5 Price 2/5 (very expensive) Restaurant 3/5 Plenty of free parking air this hotel. Restaurants and shopping short drive away (but Uber or Lyft way easier than trying to park downtown) Was surprised there was no Marriott Rewards Concierge Lounge, especially considering the property is more of a standard Marriott than a resort class hotel (Marriott resort properties don’t have the lounge, but have other amenities that make up for it) Still had a nice stay. Good job 4/5
I stayed at the Scottsdale Marriott while attending a conference. From the moment I arrived I knew that this place was special. My room was on the "garden" level, which meant I had a walk-out patio. It was fun watching the quail play during breaks in my conference. The room was spectacular, and immaculate. Everything worked properly and the bed was extremely comfortable. The gym was reasonably well equipped, and had large windows facing outdoors - much better that the closets many hotels call a gym. The restaurant ("Agave") was great. Staff offered suggestions for meals and drinks, and all of the food was delicious. The banquet staff was well trained, serving more like a 5-star restaurant than hotel staff. At the front desk, Richmonde was extremely helpful ensuring that I got extra decaf coffee delivered to my room each day. Bottom line, I highly recommend this hotel. My only regret is that my wife wasn't with me! Oh, there is a small business airport nearby. While the planes flew over regularly, you couldn't hear them inside the building.
The room is very nice, one bedroom with separate living area, two TVs, good size bathroom, etc. There is not much within hotel's walking distance, but the complementary shuttle service (within 5 miles) is a nice option to have. I had two different shuttle drivers and both are very nice, act almost as tour guide during the five minute short ride. The check in/out people at front desk are also very friendly. But the service at the lobby area restaurant is somewhat disappointing. It takes 20 minutes to bring up the breakfast ordered during a Sunday morning (not very busy) and no apology is given. The server never come back to ask for refill on the juice or coffee. Also witness a customer visibly upset with the server and complain loudly in the middle of the table area. Hopefully this is an isolated incident.
