The property is beautiful. I was there with my mom, she is in a wheelchair and it was super accessible and everyone was really friendly!

The hotel is over rated at this location. It feels like staying at the Motel 6 but paying Ritz Carlton price. We loved the location at Santa Barbara but not this one. Nothing is special here. The service is genetic and the decor of the property is not extravagant. The pillows and the room were smelly. Not a pleasant stay overall.
I’ve stayed at this property many times over the years I have always enjoyed it. Having not traveled for 18 months I was pretty excited about this trip. I do realize the pandemic is causing challenges for the hotels including this one as there was no doubt there was a problem getting enough staff from our paying people to stay home On unemployment. That said if I’m gonna be paying more than $500 a night for a room at a five-star hotel there are certain things that I expect or I expect them to reduce the price to consider what they are not giving us. First the things I liked. That would hill is pretty good very nicely taken care of grounds, A great location and views. The food was excellent although not always easy to get. Now some of The things that bothered me. When we arrived on Tuesday, check in was just before 4 PM so we headed down to the pool as we like to go out in the morning and afternoon when it is not as hot. As soon as we sat down I saw the two Guy is working at the pool taking down the umbrellas and mentioning last call to the person in front of us. we have been told the servers would end at five but the bar will stay open and we could just walk up. Not the case, they close the bar at five and the people working there start ignoring you about four each day when they start putting the umbrellas down and placing towels for the next day. The sun is out till eight, A five star hotel couldn’t get one person to take care of the bar?
Simply extraordinary service. Ritz-Carlton in general is a high service bar, but at the Rancho Mirage RC, exquisite service is the culture. One example perfectly exemplified our experience. We eat Paleo, so asked for hemp milk for our lattes which they didn't have. 3 hours later, we had hemp milk in our room for Nespresso and at each of the restaurants on site with all staff aware that we used it.... We never asked for the special effort, it just happened. Exceptional is their normal!
Lots of hidden fees. The final costs were about 40% than expected including $32 a night for car.
Dirty room apron arrival! Dirty robes and blanket with dry snot ! Stolen iPad after housekeeping.
Beautiful hotel, great view, helpful staff and comfortable and clean rooms. Loved the out fireplaces. Can’t think of a negative comment !!! All good
It was best hotel I’ve ever been. Staffs are very kind and hotel was so clean. Room is very clean as well. I went there with my 1year boy. We loves this hotel and decided come back on wintel time again.
Great experience, staff super nice and helpful and beautiful views!
Very dated hotel, not even close to a 5 star property. Needs a renovation badly.
We love Ritz but this location was very very disappointing
Perhaps it was the Holidays, but the Ritz missed the mark on this visit. Service was extraordinarily slow at the restaurants and the room faced a fence where people walked by close to our patio. The saving grace, however, was the dinner at the steakhouse. OMG - best steak I've ever had. When I spend an arm and a leg for a hotel room, I do raise my expectations, and unfortunately, this visit was mediocre. I would give them another chance, however.
We evacuated from a fire, and the hotel staff made us feel very welcome and took excellent care of us. The staff was amazing. The hotel is beautiful. The pool is large enough to swim laps. The services excellent -- including complimentary coffee bar in the morning and a fun candy buffet in the afternoon.
The pools could be larger and more refreshing! Kind of swampy by end of day. Other than that loved our stay!
I had never stayed at a Ritz-Carlton hotel, and was on the fence about my 1-night stay. I normally try not to spend much on hotels, and prefer to spend money on excursions and food. This hotel has me rethinking my vacation philosophy. From the time I walked in to the lobby, I was wowed. It's a breathtaking resort, and the staff are attentive, kind, and relaxed. My room was insane. There was a mirror in my shower and a flat screen TV in my bathroom. They give you a glass of champagne when you check-in. Even the soaps provided were REALLY nice and smelled great. I was disappointed that the fire pit on my room's ground-level patio was not able to be used due to high winds, but everything else exceeded my expectations. The food was great; the pool was not too crowded and relaxing. I can't wait to go back and stay 2 nights so I can chill for a full day without worrying about check-out time. Check their website out for package deals.
