The hotel is a little run down and in need of renovation. Our room's HVAC system needs to be cleaned and disinfected. It has a musty, mildew smell when operating.
The floors coming off the elevators going to your room were filthy..so many stains and dirt marks..only one ice machine was working in the whole hotel..plus they gave me a room facing a construction area..
The air conditioner could not cool the room below 78. There was a rather large wet spot in the carpet near the front door. The free breakfast and airport shuttle did not open in time for people with early flights to use them. No desk clerk to be found at 6 am for checkout.

This has been our "default" hotel in OC. The location and hardware facilities are fine. However, this time around, we came across some glitches: 1) Cleaning staff response problem: room cleaning service needed to be requested not just once but several times and could still be missed; 2) some in-room facilities are rundown, like unsmooth or moldy wall surface, broken carpet in corners, etc.
The fire alarm went off at midnight and it was a false alarm. We couldn’t sleep the rest of the night because we felt unsafe after that. Elevators worked part time and the fire sprinklers in the rooms seemed to be patched and some need repairs.
Really needs an update.
Room could be cleaner
Paid in advance, arrived late evening and was told the hotel is full booked and there is nothing for me. An option to refund the amount was presented - wow! The other option was to go to a DoubleTree which didn’t have the same amenities. The host was heartless and had zero empathy.

Staff was friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was great. Happy Hour was also very nice. The rooms needs serious maintenance. It was raining the day we checked in and water enter the bedroom through the slider door. Carpet got soaked as the rain continued. The staff switched our room right away.
