Had booked a room earlier in the winter at the Courtyard for this past weeks Blue Crab Tournament. When the size of our party increased from 3 to 4, the room was too small for the family and there were no large size rooms available. I checked the Residence Inn which is connected to the Courtyard and was lucky to hit a one day deal on the Marriot website where I got a one bedroom suite for $149 with breakfast. Saved about 50% over the Courtyard. We bought a blow up mattress off Amazon, so we had that and the sleeper sofa in the living room and the King bed in the bedroom. Housekeeping was subpar - asked for feather free room and found out that the pillows were all feather - took a while to bring us the foam pillows. Also , room service was very hit or miss during our five night stay. Floor hallways were not vacuumed. Breakfast was good and they had cups and ice for ice coffee which was great to take to the fields to watch the games. Cant beat the location - our son was able to take a shower and chill between games.
I am no fan of 'Residence Inn' but when we travel with Skye, our Golden...we must. Thank goodness dogs are allowed everywhere in France! We had to go down for one night with Skye so we booked this hotel. A baseball little league camp and field is right nearby so you might have hesitation. Don't! It is not noisy and the boys are a delight when they are in lobby or at breakfast. They all loved Skye and there was something nice about being in the lobby with good kids. The staff is excellent. The best I've met at a Residence. The woman ..Nilya?...wish I could remember her name...who ran the breakfast was so great with the boys and those of us a bit older. It was quiet and delightful and the food was the best I've had at a residence. The room was standard Residence inn but man....was it the nicest level I'd experienced. Everything sparking clean with a lovely kitchen and a luxurious bed. Big TV that pivoted into LR and then bedroom. I do think one thing all the 'Residence inns' should do is put a door between the sink and mirror area and bed. If you get up early you will without doubt wake your sleeping-mate. Great view looking over the field and fun watching boys play. Lobby was a step up then the rest of this brand for hanging. All in all....I'd stay there again. Stop at this hotel...for what it is and what they usually are...so worth the money. Onto ma belle France next week.
The road off the highway is exceptionally dark, so we weren't sure if we were even on the right road. Once we drove 1/4 mile, lights began to get brighter and we saw the Residence Inn & Courtyard down the road. The Residence Inn desk was closed when we arrived at 11PM with a note to go next door to the Courtyard to get our keys. After parking the car, we had to walk through a dark parking lot, through the Courtyard and then through to the Residence. Everything was clean; bed comfy; breakfast in the morning was great. I believe the only reason to ever come here would be for a baseball tournament.
Excellent stay. Perfectly suited for my son's baseball tournament weekend. Great pictures, rooms with stadium view, free breakfast and wifi, indoor pool, gym and arcade. Room was clean and spacious with small kitchen which came in handy
First of all, the setting between a minor league stadium and the youth baseball complexes is awesome! Secondly, aside from having a sit-down restaurant / omelette chef, the breakfast here is the best of any hotel. scrambled egg whites, spinach, oatmeal, strawberries, atypical pastries, nutella packets, turkey sausage, and typical choices (eggs, meat, bagel, cold cereal, yogurt). The rooms are very clean and the staff (cleaning and front desk) have been very professional and helpful. I have many friends who are baseball fans, and I will be recommending the hotel to them for a long baseball weekend getaway. You have a special thing going here with some genuine Americana included. Oh yes, it's pretty awesome to see an actual arcade in a hotel again I know this is Courtyard). I remember arcades as a staple at hotels in the 80's & 90's.
I had to be in the are area on business and decided to stay here instead of the Courtyard next door. They are connected through the lobby, which was pretty cool. Both properties were exceptionally clean and welcoming. The staff was phenomenally helpful and courteous. I just can't give tem a 5 rating because it is a Residence Inn. If you are in the area you will not be disappointed.
This is our second time staying here and we find it to be a great stop on our way home from Florida. Very convenient off 95. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Room comfy and very clean. Restaurant at bar has limited but good menu. Breakfast included and perfect before hitting the road again. We hope every year to make this a stop on our way home.
I love Residence Inns because I love to cook when I travel so having the luxury of a kitchen and full sized refrigerator was great. The living area is comfortable and spacious and I love the separation between the bedroom and living room. Two TVs and a large bathroom Because it was winter and cold no ball games so I didnt get the influx of children and large families so it was rather quite. I loves breakfast in the lounge every morning and the cooking my meals the rest of the day. My room overlooked the ball field and even though it was snowing it was beautiful. I really enjoyed my stay
very beautiful . it is a little expensive but it is worth the money ! The suites are beautiful. The staff here is absolutely amazing ! They smile and speak , they move quickly , and well trained. The room has a additional feature i didnt expect .. a huge balcony facing the baseball fields. i am absolutely in love.
I checked in today, 14 Nov 2016, and I am quite satisfied with my accomodations. I was upgraded immediately because of my Marriott membership status and I was pleased. The room is very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. This is the first Residence Inn that I've stayed in that didn't look and feel like a Motel 6. The renovations are great and I'd definitely stay here again. Deborah
