Hampton Inn Manhattan/Downtown-Financial District

This hotel was clean and comfortable and was extremely economical given its location immediately in the heart of the Financial District of Lower Manhattan.

We chose this hotel in the FiDi because I was running in the 2016 NYC marathon. It is a 3 minute walk to the Staten Island Ferry (which I used as transportation to the start line). The hotel was nice. We were greeted by friendly staff and check in was quick and easy. The room was small (maybe not by NYC standards) but nice and clean. It was fairly quiet at night, especially on weekends. The shower was very nice and large. Breakfast was available in the lobby as well, which is a nice perk. The bed was not extremely comfortable, and the covers seemed too small for the bed, which led to some tossing and turning. Also, we couldn't seem to grasp the thermostat. When we wanted heat, it seemed to blow cool air. They did hold our luggage for us, as check out is noon and our flight wasn't until 4:45.

Seems to have been renovated fairly recently. Larger bathroom than most mid price hotels I've stayed at in the city. Over all good business hotel

Everyone was really nice, especially Jonathan at the front desk. Very affordable & very comfortable. The best blackout curtains ever! I didn't want to leave the comfort of the bed. A great stay!

Made my daughters bday great. Only down side it was a little smaller room than expected BUT the bathroom alone made up for everything. The shower stall was wonderful.

This was a great hotel in the South Street Seaport area. We walked there and over the Brooklyn Bridge. Ate at some great local restaurants in the Stone Street Historic District. It's a couple of blocks from the Bowling Green subway station in Battery Park. The hotel was quiet and we were on the first floor. The king size bed was very comfortable. Loved the large shower with the rain shower head. The complimentary breakfast was wonderful and added value to our stay. The staff was very nice and helpful. They held our luggage when we arrived before check in time and also the next day when we headed out to Governor's Island and didn't want to drag it with us. They also gave us complimentary water on both days as it was so hot out. My only complaint is that there is no fridge to keep the water cold. We had water bottles that we refilled with ice but it would have been nice to have really cold water. We really loved this area of NYC, away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square. But a subway ride away to anywhere. Would definitely come back again.

the location was great and staff was nice to the guests they upgraded the queen bed to kind bed

My boyfriend and I arrived about 2 hours before check in time and they gave us a room right away. The room was just right for us, bathroom was nice and the bed was comfortable. The AC was on full blast so that was a plus as well since the weather was so hot that day. However during the night, the AC didn't seem to work anymore so we were sweating while trying to sleep. It was no different the night after. When we were checking out, only then did we find out that something was wrong with the whole AC system for the hotel. Overall it would've been a nicer stay if the AC didn't malfunction. The breakfast items were limited too, but it's enough to start your day. Staff was friendly and it's near the N, R and 1 subway lines.

The hotel was quite clean and nice for a night's stay. Comfortable bed, a simple, but satisfactory breakfast, and right at the tip of Manhattan. Hotels in New York are small and this one wasn't huge either, but plenty of space for my needs. Good value for the Sunday night rate I got.

There was nothing that was no accommodated included early check in, late check out. Breakfast available in the morning and fruit available all day. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly with great local tips!

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn. The hotel looks like it was recently renovated--our room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We liked the complimentary breakfast and the location is excellent (close to the WTC Memorial, Battery Park, and public transit).

This hotel was nice and so we're the employees but I paid for a king size bed and received a queen I did get a voucher for a free night do to this mistake.but I also booked the hotel through a 3rd party O. so one of the two were at fault I don't know I probably will never book through a 3rd party again. But other than that the hotel was just fine for my friends and I one night stay.

We found our selves in the biggest room of all the 5 hotels we stayed at during the last year. Except for the small window and the construction going on, there's not much we didn't like.

For the price compared to other options, this is great. My wife and daughter I needed a place to stay overnight--the next morning we were visiting the 9/11 Museum and other activities. Checked in at 4:00 and Leandro Modesto at the desk was great. Quick check-in and even did a kid check-in for my daughter. Front desk was fantastic everytime we approached for information/questions. Coffee is always hot in the lobby. Room was small, but had everything we needed, including nice flatscreen. King bed and all three of us (9 year old) slept in. Room nice and dark. My daughter had a sore toe and not only did Adreana bring her a Band-Aid, she also had an extra pair of socks for her from her "magic box", which we forgot to bring. We were walking distance to 9/11 museum. Breakfast was okay. Decent omelette, potatoes, plus cereal, hard-boiled egg, waffle maker, juice. Not bad for free. Wished they had some bacon or sausage. Overall, we would stay here again. It was best price I could find all week and you are right near the 1/9/N/R trains so getting uptown for dinner was less than 1/2 hour. Parking is around the corner, short walk back to hotel. Get your ticket stamped by front desk, or they won't give you the $40 overnight parking price. If you are just sleeping here and need a quick bite to eat in the morning #for free# this is the place. Some great restaurants around this area and not the crowds of uptown.

Wanted to be in the Wall St/Trinity Church area and this was perfect - 5 minutes from my destination. Also close to a street full of bars and restaurants that was hopping both Friday and Saturday night. Hotel room was quiet and well maintained with Wi-Fi, TV Reception all good. Good price too for Downtown Manhattan

Staff was personable and accommodating. However, some personal need additional information regarding the surrounding area,

Although room was very small, it was clean and location was fantastic! The staff was friendly, accommodating and made up for anything that was lacking in amenities.

This hotel is a little discovered gem! I have no idea why it's only rated 2 stars. We had a *minor* issue when we first arrived and they not only solved it but went WAY above and beyond! The entire staff is fantastic. We ended up getting delayed and had to spend an extra night in NYC. This hotel was completely sold out but they let us stay in the lobby while we searched for another place to stay. They even helped us search for one in a good neighborhood, since we were unfamiliar with the area! Eventually, a cancellation came thru and they got us a room here again. They went out of their way to make us happy and comfortable over and over again. Great spot for the price too, close to multiple metro stops. I would definitely stay here again.
