9.4/10 Exceptional! (10,358 reviews)
"Hotel was beautiful inside. Lots of choices for dining and games. It was close enough to walk to other places as well. My only issue was with the tiny bottles for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. The liquids inside the bottles were too thick and just wouldn’t come out. Definitely need to bring ..."

8.2/10 Very Good! (28,370 reviews)
"It was an okay hotel. It was one of the least expensive in the area so it makes sense it wasn’t amazing. Bask in the glamor of the Las Vegas Strip

A sparkling length of light in the middle of the American desert —it's hard to resist the allure of the Las Vegas Strip. Though famous for its access to gambling, nightclubs, and celeb-hosted parties, the Strip shouldn't be overlooked for the world-class shows, restaurants and shopping it also has on offer.

Attractions
Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign

It's fitting that this is the first stop for many as they embark on their Vegas nights. Like those who have come before you, snap a photo in front of this iconic sign, which has been located on the south end of The Strip since 1959.

Casinos

Of course, the casinos dominate the skyline and are the focus of nearly every traveler that ventures to the Strip. Some of the more famous money houses include the Aria, the Bellagio, the Venetian and the Wynn. There are 30 other accommodation choices to keep you equally entertained.

Rides

Vegas's reputation as a playground for adults can seem quite literal when you look to the New York-New York Hotel and Casino, and see The Roller Coaster taking travelers screaming through the casino (as well as outside of it). Meanwhile, the Stratosphere welcomes the bravest of visitors who want to ride the Big Shot or Insanity, the two highest thrill rides in the world. They literally sit on top of the hotel, high above the Strip's skyline.

Shows

Las Vegas is known for its high-class entertainment, particularly its lavish stage shows. Cirque du Soleil performs various, distinct shows at a number of casinos. Also popular are performances by famous entertainers like Criss Angel, Penn & Teller, and comedian Carrot Top.

Gambling

Casinos are the cornerstones of the Strip, and as such, they-re naturally a major part of the excitement. You can find slot machines and poker and blackjack tables in each and every one.

Sports

Las Vegas has famously hosted some of the most historic bouts in boxing history, and title fights are still regularly scheduled for venues located on the Strip. Additionally, many of the most important mixed martial arts (MMA) fights are held at places such as the MGM Grand Garden Arena and the Mandalay Bay Events Center.

Climate

The Strip is located in the Mohave Desert and is home to extremely dry, hot summers. For this reason, it-s important to stay hydrated and limit your walking during the afternoons if you are visiting during these months. The average high temperatures in July and August exceed 100 degrees. Conversely, many do not realize how chilly it can get during the winter, with average lows in December and January dipping into the 30s. If you have some flexibility, plan to visit during the spring or fall when the weather is much more pleasant.

Transportation

McCarran International Airport (LAS) welcomes visitors from several American cities, as well as far-flung places like London, Panama City and Seoul, South Korea. Many visitors grab a taxi to take them to their Las Vegas Strip hotelsOpens in a new window, which will run about $20. However, the WAX bus is another option that few visitors realize exists. It takes passengers from the airport to the New York-New York Hotel and Casino near the southern end of the Strip for just $2.
