InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront

One of the best if not the best i have stayed at, I can not find anything that needs improvement. The location is even great. i was impressed by St Paul, sorry i didn't arrange a tour of the city. I did get a brief history of St Paul from a bartender who has been at the hotel over 30 years.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The bed was great, the shower was great, wifi and electronics great, so the important stuff was there. If you like dark gray and purple, this is your dream decor. Too dark. Rooms rather small - not easy for 4 us us to hang out together in one double room to relax and catch up. Not easy for two of us to move around without getting in each other's way. Exterior pretty dismal. Having said that, we had a great experience there for the wedding. Discounted room rate was a good value, although I would not pay the regular rate. I believe the hotel catered the event. If it did, it did a wonderful job. Food at the party was very good and service was excellent. (If NOT, find out who catered the Cox wedding in August, 2017.) The little restaurant at the hotel also serves good breakfast, but the service is terribly slow - not sure where the bottleneck is, kitchen I guess, because the waitstaff was quite on the ball.

We stayed here the evening before our river cruise. The room was lovely - a corner room that was clean and spacious. Check-in was easy and efficient, as was check-out via a phone call. The hotel is close to the river to take a nice walk before dinner, and there are several dining options nearby within easy walking distance. We had breakfast at the small coffee area; the lady working this was very friendly and efficient. There is a dining room; while we did not eat there it did look very nice. All in all, a nice overnight and I would not hesitate to stay there again.

Older style hotel, clean and pleasant. Situated close to water front, buses and dining outlets yet quiet, not bustling city life. Staff are pleasant, rooms are clean and views are stunning. Dining in hotel was also excellent.... you must try chicken wings and steak burger...they both leave you wanting more as they are so delicious but I can guarantee you won't be able to fit it in and service is exceptional highly recommend it

Don't let the ugly exterior put you off. The staff was first rate from check-in to check-out and impeccably clean. The location on the river was lovely and easy to wander into Lowertown for great bars, breweries, and restaurants. Visited for a long weekend for a wedding being held at the hotel.

Stayed here for convention. The friendliest staff I have encountered in a long time. Rooms spacious and clean. Only the "modern" decore made the furniture handles difficult to open, especially for us seniors. Very fast elevators, especially when convention group all want to get to rooms at same time.

I had the opportunity to stay at the InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront for a business conference this past summer (2017). I couldn't have been more pleased with my stay! Out hotel contact surprised me by putting me in an executive suite—unexpected, but an absolute treat, with a spacious room and beautiful view of the city and river. The hotel staff was always quick to assist us with our needs, whether with room reservations, printing documents, catering, drinks, or anything else. I actually didn't want to leave at the end of my stay. I can't recommended the InterContinental highly enough, whether you're in town for a conference, business, vacation, or otherwise. Top-notch!!

Desk staff was amazing and informative. Our room had a great view of the river. The bed was awesome as were the pillows. The room and hotel were very clean. Parking in the ramp connected was perfect. We will go back again.

I selected this as a place to stay that was a reasonable walking distance to the Xcel Energy Center. The staff was friendly and the room was spotless. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet for the amount of people staying there.

Easy to find, decent parking, close to the MN State Fair, friendly in-room-dining staff, quick & delicious food. The view from our room was nice but would've been better if it hadn't been cloudy and rainy.
