Went for a Wild game and loved how clean the hotel was plus how easy it was to get to.
Great location to excel center. Parking was a bit time consuming/congested. Would prefer on site self parking
They treated me quite well, the room was clean, the hotel quiet once you left the lobby and overall well worth the money with the convenient location to the hockey arena. One quibble: Could use a business/office center so anyone looking for a quiet space outside their room can work there. Lobby is far too noisy and with opening doors, too cold in winter to sit and work. Newbies to St. Paul should check out the Skyway map (hotel is connected on 2nd floor) to see how they can get around.
VERY accommodating for such a busy holiday weekend. We utilized the outstanding valet service. Every establishment we ventured to was within walking distance. Even though check-out is at 11, the staff was very accommodating in storing our luggage and allowing us to stay parked while we went to an afternoon sporting event. All staff was friendly and pleasant. Highly recommend
We like this hotel due to walking distance to the Xcel Energy Center we come to town for concerts. Front desk people nice. Only issues were no washcloths in our room, but they brought them when we called the front desk. We also only had decaf coffee in our room.
It appeared that of the 3 elevators this hotel has, only 1-2 were working at any given time causing major lines and wait times to get to your room after check in or on your way to check out. If you were lucky enough to catch an elevator, it would stop at every single floor without being prompted to do so. The Keurig in our room also had a filthy water reservoir and the rooms are not very sound proof. We could hear the outside traffic at all hours, folks in the hallway as they came and went and the neighbors toilet flushing. The staff upon check in were very friendly and one of the security guards that helped us get to our room was outstanding.
There was a line of people trying to use the elevator. To many people for the amount of elevators. They said one was down, but that was a huge problem. Service at the hotel bar/breakfast was horrible. 30 min sitting with no one asking for our order. Then valet was even worse. People waiting an hour for their car. I waited 20 min then just took my keys and went to find my own car and left. Never again! Don’t provide a servise if you can’t staff it!
We had to find a last minute place to stay in downtown St Paul. We were able to get a cab from the airport to the hotel and had a great night stay.

Hotel is great! Super convenient for any event at Xcel. Minor inconvenience for the parking ramp. We have a small SUV and hardly fit.
The room was quiet for sleeping despite a very busy weekend with Eagles concert, Twin Cities Marathon and a Vikings game. Very easy and safe walk about 5 blocks to Excel Energy center. Many restaurants within same area to walk to. Very low parking ramp if you have high, large vehicle and suggest valet parking instead. Front Desk Staff very professional and went out of way to help.
Location was great, great view of the river and lived the size of the room.
Room was clean and modern. Great view of the river front. Parking garage was a little scary - lots of patched concrete and a bit pricey at $24/night but it was convenient.
