DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Downtown

3.5 out of 5.0

Very nice reception/front desk staff, very helpful and responsive to our requests. Good food in the hotel restaurant and very helpful and informed waiter/bartender (we still have a little outstanding issue of overcharge on the first night of our stay, March 31, because I remember that I rounded the amount up to 180.00 by adding a tip, and while leaving we got the bill for 232.00 at the reception desk)

This is a nice property convenient to a variety of restaurants and Target HQ

Clean rooms, close to downtown activities. Don't like parking garage shared with public, car mirror got hit

Close to everything; next to Orchestra Hall, easy walk to Target Center, short stroll to Dakota Jazz Club, Mary's and Target.

Room was very cold even after turning up the heat. but everything else was great

The hotel is just ok, it looks and smells old. The lobby area is nice but the rooms definitely need some updating. The remote for the TV didn't even work, a lot of dust.

I stayed here for two nights to explore Minneapolis with my brother. We couldn't have picked a better location. The staff was great! Very helpful and accommodating, definitely would return here!

It's just a 5 min walk to the Convention Center and you rarely have to walk more than 10 minutes to find an excellent place to eat. If you forgot something, there is a CVS and a Target also in walking distance.

It was a wonderful stay. We were close to everything.

Great experience! Rooms spacious, clean and nice with lots of amenities.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It's located within walking distance of downtown, has a coffee shop attached, rooms are spacious (sitting area and bedroom area), in-room fridge and microwave, free wifi, staff was friendly, comfortable bed, and free cookies! It hits all your basic needs!

This hotel was amazing! A huge living space. I slept on the pull-out couch for four days, and it was so comfortable (which was a pleasant surprise). Really clean, and I have no complaints. Also, I was hired for a federal job while I was on this trip (and staying at this hotel). I had to find a way to print all this paperwork, and a woman at the front desk helped me out when she really didn't have to. It definitely isn't in her job description to help some poor college girl print some federal forms, but she did and saved the day and I can't thank her enough. Thanks DoubleTree!

Double Tree is Great hotel for the best price in downtown Minneapolis. Easy access to downtown bars and a short walking distance to Nicollet mall. Highly recommend.

I didn't feel like I could use the samples because I thought they would charge me for them. The bathroom sink know needed to be tighten, not enough towels for us, when I left the manager asked my opinion and sounds like he cared. Staff could have been more aproachable. The room was very nice though.

Nice stay within walking distance of theaters downtown. Staff was great and room large. Microwave and fridge, safe in room. Parking cramped and expensive- my only complaint. Even with parking and finding my own breakfast, MUCH less expensive than other hotels nearby, well worth it.

Great overnight stay in the city. The location of the hotel is convenient to many hotels and shopping. Easy to get to the airport.

The room is bigger and so clean and comfortable the restaurant and bar is good too so I'm recommend this hotel

We stayed here for an event at the Minneapolis Convention Center. While there aren't skyways all the way to the Doubletree, we could walk a couple blocks to another hotel and jump in them very easily. It was a pretty nice outside walk to the convention center, as well. We did lots of walking to the Nicollet Mall area, which was also easily accessible. I was able to get a nice 4 mile run in by heading down Hennepin to the river, which was great!

The hotel was cheaper than others downtown, but nice. The location was perfect for us to walk to the Orpheum and Butcher and Boar.

We were given a room less than what I reserved. They were fully booked so we were given a free breakfast but that does't change the fact that we were not getting what we reserved 2 months before. The hairdryer also was't working and the front desk made no attempt to help, saying I could call housekeeping myself and see if they would help me.
