Aloft Minneapolis

We had a great stay at this conveniently located hotel. Museums, parks, and dining were just a short walk away. Comfortable outdoor and indoor seating for gathering with friends.

My recent stay at the Aloft in downtown Minneapolis was superb. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, with an obvious love for the Twin Cities. I enjoyed taking them up on their local recommendations on how to spend my time, including taking advantage of the local running paths. I travel frequently, and I try (with limited success) to squeeze in runs when I'm on the road. This Aloft location is close to a very scenic run along the Mississippi River, which includes views of Upper St Anthony Falls as well as a well-marked stretch of the Heritage Trail. Runners can either target fast splits or linger and learn about the city from the various plaques and informational kiosks along the route. I had a great time, and I wouldn't have even known these trails were there had it not been for the Aloft front desk staff.

Clean and comfy. CLose to many great restaurants and attractions. Needs better power strip in desk.

Nothing super fancy and no great view of Minneapolis, but it's well worth the stay. It's conveniently near lots of places to eat, and there's a free shuttle service until 11 which was really nice. We had free breakfast with the room, but slept in until check out, and they let us take breakfast sandwiches on the way out. Overall the staff was really nice which can make a hotel worth coming back too.

Staff very helpful....came immediately when we had an issue with air-conditioner. Fixed by courteous staff person.

Parking is an issue, there are only a handful of spots. There is a public ramp across the street that charges $6.00 for the night. Beds were hard and the street noise made for difficult sleeping. For the location the overall experience was good. I would recommend the hotel to others, but suggest they ask for a room not facing the street.

My daughter and I stayed here for our visit to the U of Minnesota, and it was terrific. The desk staff was very helpful, the beds and pillows were SO comfortable, and we loved the modern decor. The breakfast options were less expensive than we've seen at other hotels. We liked the unique room arrangement. The shower was great. I just can't say anything negative about it. Would definitely recommend.

Nice clean rooms...Hotel stuff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was not stuck up..Met by real people. Cool elevator floors...

The staff is accommodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and hip. Parking is limited however there is affordable public parking right next door. Great location with a Whole Foods up the street.

Upon arrival to the hotel it was a bit confusing on where to park, I inquired about the parking lot next to the hotel and was only told it had nothing to do with Aloft parking. I was never given any information on parking. The young lady working the desk could have been a little more pleasant and inviting.

Convenient location. Upcoming area. Staff very friendly. Great amenities. Housekeeping slow in getting room cleaned. Twice decided to decline to have room cleaned over seven days—just switched towels.

I love the Aloft hotels because you know exactly what you are going to get. They're clean, fun, have great pools, etc. Recommended for a downtown Minneapolis night on the town.

I needed a comfortable place to stay for 2 nights on a business trip, and this place fit the bill. The hotel is modern, clean, and situated near downtown and right next to the old mill district with a great park, bike path, walkway, etc. The room is pretty simple and could have done with a comfortable chair (it had only a desk chair that was too low for the desk). Minimal amenities in the room, but sufficient. Good price.

Great experience. Fun atmosphere. Was looking for something other than the run of the mill hotel and got it! Loved the restaurant food and service. Great pillows.

The hotel was ice cold. They turned down the heat when I was at work and it took an hour to heat up the room. The next day the heat did not work and they moved me to another hotel at 1 am in the morning with a 6 am flight. Will never stay there again!

Aloft was our base of operations for a long weekend in Minneapolis, and we could not have been happier with the hotel. The room was great, the bar was fun and funky, and the location—near the bike paths and a bike share station—was ideal. We have another stay scheduled for February, and are very excited to experience it again.

Check in went well, Parking was very limited even thought the web page gave reference to parking. Rooms were nice. Hall ways were nice except the cleaning carts had put big scraps in the walls from moving them down the halls, With the hotel looking so nice, this didn't look well.

We stayed at the Aloft in Minneapolis for 5 nights over Thanksgiving. It was a great location on the edge of downtown across from the new stadium. It was about one minute off of both 35W and 94. The room was fine with modern furniture. The lobby was nice with limited, reasonably priced food. There is a bar with great happy hour specials. The pool is nice as well. There is a parking garage across the street, but we could always either park in the limited 5 hotel guest spots, or park on the street at the meter, then move it in the morning. Great deal!

Clean, Comfortable, Close to University of MN. I would recommend for Business Travelers.

Good base for exploring downtown Minneapolis. Nice decor and atmosphere. Staff of variable quality and enthusiasm. Underserved by parking, i.e. burden of pay parking shifted to customers. Also, as of this writing Aloft appears to be assessing the charge already assessed by the booking site. Not likely to be fraudulent, but certainly annoying,.
