We have stayed here before with no issues but this last time was a nightmare. We got to the hotel and checked in and went up to our room. We walk in a there wasn't two queen beds like we booked but one king bed... for 4 people?! We called the front desk and long story short they told us that anyone who books off site gets booted into different rooms if need be. We asked for a roll away and they said they were out. A few hours go by and we go to a show then come back and ask again for a bed and they said that we should've asked for one earlier (which we did!!!) and then proceed to tell us that they are out of blankets as well. So now our 10 year old son is stuck sleeping on the floor, being super uncomfortable. The front desk staff was not friendly or helpful. In fact in the elevator there were several other people very upset and complaining about the exact same situation we were having. Shortly after getting home my wife realized she forgot some medication in the room and called the hotel, talked to the front desk, which transferred her to housekeeping which she NEVER heard back from. Very disappointed. We really liked the location but after this we may never be back.

Good experience. Please consider changing to regular Heinz catsup. The catsup there is terrible. Also I checked out on a Monday and requested a 1 hour late check out. This should be easy to accommodate, but the front desk representative just dismissed my request without even really checking with houskeeping or anyone. A starwood preferred guest should be able to get a 1 hour late check out on a Monday. Sad.

Check in was easy and quick. Room was trendy and exceptional clean. Was worried about the bed when I saw but we slept great. Was also worried about walking around the area after dark but pleasantly surprised by how safe I felt. Parking is minimal but there’s a parking ramp next door which was $14-16 for a 10-12 hour park. Never had a problem finding a spot. I included breakfast in room charge but I wouldn’t do it again. You’re allotted $20 each morning for 1 adult 1 child but 2 breakfast choices end up equaling more than $20. My 9 yr old wasn’t too impressed with the choices but the pancake and berries choice was the best for her. Food was very good though. Hotel was bustling on a Saturday night in the bar/lobby and surrounding bars/restaurants. Pool area small but very nice and clean. We will definitely be staying here again!! Very impressed!!

Loud music in the middle of the night and loud people walking through the halls late at night.

Great location, close to the freeway. Room was basic, bed was comfortable. Very clean room

I’ve stayed in several Alofts and this one is just okay. The hotel staff was. The room was clean but did not have any soap (they ran out). Overall it was standard for an Aloft.

Got stuck in a handicap room which had a bed a few inches off the floor which is fine if your handicapped but not so great otherwise. When i asked if I could change they said no. The benefits I guess of booking with Orbitz for a cheap rate. The window heating unit was as most are loud and annoying.

The hot tub was so brown it wasn’t even usable. The pool was almost as filthy. We were told that their restaurant/bar would be open until at least midnight. It closed at 9:30, and the menu listed on their websit no longer exists. They only serve about five side dishes. Nothing was done about any of the issues either.

Like some other reviews, the only really bad thing about this hotel is the heating / air units. They're wall mounted to the exterior walls like a Super 8 or Motel 6. So if its hot, or just really really cold outside (our visit), then it kicks on every 3-5 minutes. Not gonna lie, they're loud. Seemingly louder than what you'd get at a Super 8. I'm a heavy sleeper and it woke me up every other time. My better half is a light sleeper and she didn't really sleep at all. The other reviews don't emphasize this enough. We would have booked another place if we would have known how loud they'd be and how often they'd run in sub-zero temps. Otherwise! It's an amazing hotel. Would be perfect to stay in during fair weather, especially for the price! Great hotel, excellent staff, close enough location to everywhere.

Great fun vibe, cool bar clean room, staff very friendly

Room heater was stuck on high (84) even though thermostat set at 70. Had to un-plug it, then it went down to 60. Crazy lumpy pillows like sleeping on a bag of apples. Then there was a loud alarm beeping for 3+ hours at municipal parking ramp across the street (not hotels fault). When we called front desk about the alarm, they said they heard it too and would call the city about it. Within minutes it finally stopped. I wondered why they hadn't done that hours earlier. Otherwise the place was clean, newer and the location is great.

I had a pleasant stay - comfortable bed, clean room, good coffee and snacks. The parking lot across the street is really reasonable at $9 per day. My only complaint is that the room doors tend to slam loudly, so you can hear your fellow guests going in and out of their rooms.

Comfortable, clean, good amenities. Only downside is the bathroom echoes everywhere in the room can hear your pee and poop drop loud and clear. The coffee maker is right next to the bathroom door so the coffee can mask the poop smell, since the door does not close all the way. otnerwise bed is comfortable and the street view was lovely! Would stay here again

We had a great experience all around! Great area, clean and had everything we needed! Workout room was perfect.

The hotel was very modern, updated and clean. Staff was very courtious and extremely helpful, especially when it came to early check in and helping us find parking. Our only disappointment were the uncomfortable beds. Otherwise a Great place to stay!

Quick and friendly check-in & checkout. Quick elevators. Room was small but quaint, homely. Lighting was limited. Not great for a business person who needs lots of desk space, but adequate for a short stay. Excellent WiFi. Easy logon and fast speed. Good location downtown to sporting arenas and business buildings. Not much parking, but they do have some spots available for their guests (like 12). Otherwise, have to pay for parking. I did get a spot for free, but almost was blocked in the next morning by a town car that was picking up another guest. Overall, good for the price, great staff, and as long as you want to experience downtown Minneapolis with little pressures ... good spot.

Nice staff, quiet around the hotel, clean, hotel staff always around, cleaning crew always around. Good experience.

The staff at this hotel is great, always friendly and really nice to have a shuttle available to take you anywhere within a 5 mile radius and the driver is also very friendly and accommodating. Will definitely stay again!

We had a great stay at this conveniently located hotel. Museums, parks, and dining were just a short walk away. Comfortable outdoor and indoor seating for gathering with friends.

My recent stay at the Aloft in downtown Minneapolis was superb. The front desk staff was friendly and welcoming, with an obvious love for the Twin Cities. I enjoyed taking them up on their local recommendations on how to spend my time, including taking advantage of the local running paths. I travel frequently, and I try (with limited success) to squeeze in runs when I'm on the road. This Aloft location is close to a very scenic run along the Mississippi River, which includes views of Upper St Anthony Falls as well as a well-marked stretch of the Heritage Trail. Runners can either target fast splits or linger and learn about the city from the various plaques and informational kiosks along the route. I had a great time, and I wouldn't have even known these trails were there had it not been for the Aloft front desk staff.
