The hotel has a nice parking garage and is located close to downtown restaurants, shopping and entertainment.

We asked for a room refresh after 2 days and didn’t get it, resulting in us not having towels and toilet paper. The room was not clean upon arrival and the tub was so dingy looking that we showered the kids instead of giving a bath. The lighting was dim and it is just an extremely outdated place. The pool was cold and had bandaids in and around it. The area around the hotel was sketchy with lots of homeless people. We paid an outrageous amount of money for this subpar stay.

Convenient location

This experience was very disappointing. For the price of $400 a night the floor should be vacuumed, towels should be free of hair, shower should not have mold stains, there should not be stains on mattress that were visible through the sheets, sprinkler heads were just cut out holes in the ceiling, and bed looked as if someone layer in it. Overall very disappointing for a Holiday Franchise.

Pools are unique. Located inside Duluth's Skywalk system so you van go to all kinds of different restaurants, businesses, even the library without going outside. Lyric Restaurant on ground floor is excellent. Breakfast restaurant on 2nd floor serves Starbucks food and drinks. One bedroom suite is awesome and just a little more money than a standard, but bathroom is barely big enough to change your mind in. Nice little kitchen area with Keurig, microwave and fridge. Parking is easy, parking garage on premises. View of Lake Superior from 10th floor room. Small arcade. Small gift and sundries shop with snacks. Very pleasant. Check in was quick and easy and desk worker was very nice.

It was convenient and okay enough

The location and skyway provided easy access to the surrounding area without the need to drive. Perfect for my expectations.

Clean

Nice convenient place to stay. Walkable to the Duluth hockey games & convention center through skywalk. Very pleasant people but no housekeeping services were available after our first night. I'm guessing they are short-staffed (COVID-fallout?). We got clean towels and more cups by going tot he front desk.

Sky way, easy to get around

Loved having two pools on different levels.

My family enjoyed staying in a suite for a fun Duluth getaway. The staff helped us get checked it quickly into our room and allowed a late check out time with no problem. They provide a free parking ticket for the ramp to get in and out easily. However, I will say the property needs updates, and the room was a little dirty. The side of the couch in the suite had stains and dirt, and there was a sleeping eye mask peaking out from under the bed. Also, keep in mind that the window shades do not provide much privacy, because walking back to our room, my mom and sister saw a fully nude woman in the window. Hot tub and pool were fun to swim in. Arcade is small. Starbucks was nice to have in the hotel for a quick coffee on the go! Side note: Do not go to the casino down the road at night. Two very sketchy and scary looking people came from the alley, and followed my family back to the hotel for quite a while. But overall, it worked for our little getaway! It’s overpriced for what you get, but nice to be close to things downtown.

The price was ridiculous

Free airport shuttle

The property itself is dated but clean. Air conditioning struggled but it is abnormally warm for North Shore. Hotel staff was accommodating if asked but everything had to be requested. We were checked in but not given the room we had reserved. No one told us. When we got to the room, it was wrong. Called the front desk and informed our room type was sold out. Requested a discount. Was granted but then it was only applied to one night. Had to call again to have it applied the second night. Again, it was taken care of but I felt communication could have been more upfront.

This room was so bad that I honestly believe people given it should be comped, like when you give up your seat on an overbooked flight. Imagine that in scenic Duluth, you are confined to an upper level interior room overlooking an indoor pool which does not even have a functional skylight, so you have no natural light at all. The pool area is naturally kept warm and humid, so your under insulated room will also be warm and humid. The noisy 60s era air conditioning unit will struggle to keep up, so your room will be alternately muggy and freezing. A smell of chlorine pervades everything. Plus you get to listen to other people’s kids until 10 pm or whenever they get around to closing the pool. Terrible, terrible stay.
