Was there for one night and looking for something less expensive than downtown Duluth. It fit the bill fine. Full breakfast, very nice room. If you want exercise room they do not have on site but it has a good sized pool.

We booked this last minute simply for a place to sleep one night, without great expectations. However, it was totally new inside, with bright and airy lobby and breakfast area. The room was a nice size, with very comfortable bed and pillows, and everything was well thought-out in terms of furniture, with ample space for clothes, toiletries, etc. We didn't use it, but there is a great indoor swimming pool.

This is a nice middle of the road hotel. Rooms were clean. Bed was pretty good. Would like to see a selection of pillows - not all big and kind of hard.

A little outside the main downtown area but really only about 2 minutes away. Great rooms, very clean. Also a great breakfast.

We went for a couples getaway over Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend. The service was absolutely amazing, the workers are very attentive to your needs. For example, we were in the hot tub and we noticed the water wasn't very hot so my husband went to the front desk to see if they could adjust the heat so the attendant went and looked to see if she could adjust it and when she couldn't, called the maintenance guy to come out and fix it (mind you, if was 10:00pm on a Sunday). We went back to our room and once it was fixed (at about 10:35) she called us and let us know it would get hotter in just a couple more minutes. Awesome customer service. The one draw back, is that when we went there was a huge hockey tournament so on Saturday night and Sunday morning it was super packed and kind of loud but the staff tried their best to keep it quiet and orderly.

Everything was great except the bed was a little soft for us. Ended up with a backache. Pool was nice and breakfast was good. Staff was great.

We have always chosen Comfort Inn as our most preferred chain hotel in the U.S. because of its cleanliness and friendly staff. We enjoyed using the hot tub and sauna each night. Breakfast was great as usual!

Quiet , clean, friendly & good breakfast . Close to everything .

We had an ok stay. It was nice to have the pool to ourselves!! I was just kind of turned off when you would be eating breakfast and the staff would keep constantly spraying their sprays for cleaning the whole time. I found it kind of gross. It is great they are cleaning but I'd suggest a different method so not inhaling all those chemicals in. It happened both mornings..

I had a wedding to go to in West Duluth. The location was great - easy access to Highways 35, 53, and 2. The employees were friendly and helpful. The room was really nice. Free breakfast was a bonus. I thought the price was steep ($160/night for a king) but it seemed to be the going rate for the area.

We went up to celebrate my son's birthday. The hotel is nice, room is comfortable - but the price was on the high side. The hotel really isn't close to shopping, dining, etc. Canal was only 5 minutes away, and for $40 more we could have stayed on Canal, I will definitely do that next time. Would have given it a higher mark if the price reflected it's location, instead of trying to price itself to those hotels that are closer to "tourist" attractions. If you're looking for a quiet place outside of the tourist areas, this place is quiet, rooms are clean and comfortable, staff is friendly.

great clean room, much more quiet than some other place on Canal Park that I've stayed at. Did not have an in-room fridge or mocrowave but we didn't need it. Easy to get to, right next to a Perkins restraunt. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Cookies and lemonade when you arrive, help planning activities, a wonderful AM breakfast, even adult swim time! You just are not owntown amid the tourist attractions, but it's only a short drive away! Really enjoyed our stay!

The hotel was very nice. We did not use the pool area, although it did look really nice. The rooms were very clean and updated. The breakfast had your regular items (waffles, fruit, cereal, doughnuts muffins etc) but it also had eggs and bacon on the day we were there which was really nice. It was right off 35 with a Perkins right across the street.

The whirlpool in the room is really nice. =)

We came up for one night to see the scenery. We were able to check in early which was great. We enjoyed the room, the hot tub, and the breakfast in the morning. Everything was fantastic. No complaints other than a little spendy for not being right downtown.

We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel. Great location in proximity to all the attractions in Duluth. The amenities were great and food very good. We will stay here again on our next visit.

Staff was very courteous and helpful. GREAT breakfast. Best we've had in any setting so far that has breakfast included.

It was a little bit of a drive to Duluth attractions, but it was in a nice area of the city. Well-lit parking lot. The front desk staff was so outgoing and friendly. We didn't use the pool, but we did use the whirlpool. It's temperature was perfect, though the jets were "quirky." It sometimes took awhile to get them going again. The rooms were very clean and updated. Our only complaint was that the pillows were very small and too squishy. This was our second stay at this location, and we'd definitely stay again.

We checked in, which took awhile as the clerk was not quick at handling the person in front of us. We were somewhat surprised at the price of the room after we checked in because we expected more than a room with a hottub in it. I think for the price and then you looked at the neighborhood, there was an expectation maybe that we would get more of a suite instead of just a room with a lot of stuff in it. At approximately 10 pm the upstairs guest returned with their children. The children ran, jumped up and down on the floor above us and slammed doors. It was quite disturbing until about 12 midnite. This was our romantic get-away that was everything but that. In the morning the children upstairs arose again and did pretty much the same as the night before. Jumping up and down making lots of noise on the floor above us. When we checked out we mentioned something to the clerk who only replied well that's where most of our double beds are, so that's why we put children upstairs. I don't think we will return to this hotel.
