Remodeling is nice update but bathroom seems unfinished, needs more towel hooks and better lighting
Great location and helpful staff.
Great location for the Mayo Clinic. Awesome pool when it is open. Many restaurant opportunities close by. We forgot an item in the room however, and that became a problem.
Loved the convenience. Close to everything!
I liked the convenience to Mayo Clinic and shopping. I didn't like the fact that we did not have wash cloths, you had to go to the front desk to get your soap, etc.
Great stay
This place is mediocre and the staff is very rude. Not recommended
Overall excellent - and excellent value
Very clean and quiet. Staff was wonderful and very friendly.
The Hotel was recently remodeled, excellent decor and style.
Have stayed many times in past 10 years. Wasn’t aware of renovation in progress which made navigating hallways dirty and difficult.
The building is very old, almost 100 years. Unless your are staying in a upgraded room or a continental room, the place is a dump. Very disappointing.
Bed and location great. People good, property horribly outdated.
very close to Mayo. Construction is one thing, polluting the air with toxic levels of fumes from lacquer, epoxy, paint etc and working literally on the outside of our room at 7AM Is unacceptable, be prepared for room changes in the middle of your stay due to reasons like this as the hotel tries to squeeze every last bit of profit by rooming guests in unsafe conditions, ignoring the fact that many people who come here are ill, older, and actual guests of Mayo. The clinic has different standard than this and should distance themselves from the Kahler or demand a different approach at once before any additional guests suffer unsafe conditions. Truly unacceptable , and we are a younger family with not very serious health conditions. Again because 2X is not enough, UNACCEPTABLE! Pay the extra for the Hilton or other alternative. BTW our room was changed to a shower without a fixed sprayer. Only a hose hanging to the floor without a way to prop it up. Rooms extremely dirty and dusty. Walls so thin you can hear the faucets from the room next door, toilets flushing, TVs on, people talking. You might as well “share” the rooms with the neighboring guests.
Out dated rooms only had one washcloth in bathroom and one roll of toilet paper with very little on it
It was very close to where I needed to be, staff was excellent, but it's a bit, um, rustic.
Property is under construction that we didn’t know about until we arrived. Working on boilers so water was cold for showers, dust everywhere, when we asked the staff if their was anything they could do we got no I’m sorry from the 20ish manager and check in staff. At $200 per night I would find somewhere else. Very disappointed
