Beware

Dirty ripped chair in room. Room smelled like stale smoke. Sketchy “stuff” in hotel. Room’s being Jar’d open . People in and out of said rooms. Giving out room’s that are already occupied. Staff very rude and disrespectful. Would never return to this hotel. Not much for breakfast items. TV kept freezing during shows. Staff smoking outside main doors.

The room had a bad smell and black mold in the bathroom. There were cigarette burns in the comforters and it seems as though nothing has been updated in these rooms since the 70s. The beds and bedding were very stiff. We got food from the vending machine that expired in April. Other than that, the staff was very friendly.

Horrible Service and denied receipt

The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful when it came to asking about the area. We had purchased food to warm up in the microwave in the room and discovered it wasn't working our first night. I informed the front desk and they said they would make certain it got replaced the following morning. It never got replaced and we were there for 3 nights. When we had to check out 1 day early we were told that they couldn't do that nor could they provide a receipt. They said that function was grayed out and it would take a manager to do anything. They said I would have to contact where we made the reservation and they would have to request the refund and the change in the checkout.

Just what I needed.

The front desk person was incredibly helpful and kind. Breakfast was basic hotel breakfast which is what I would expect for this price range but good! The hotel did not have a bad smell. I’ve stayed in many hotels that smell horrible but this was scent free which was really refreshing!

Location was ok and between two areas of higher end homes. Walmart nearby, but location near target was nicer. Room was old/dirty. It served its purpose, but likely would pay a few bucks more for somewhere else.

Negatives: Mold in the shower and on the ceiling. Toilet paper shoved in the eyehole of the door which makes it unsafe if someone were to be on the other side, you can’t see who it is. Plastic bag wrapped around the smoke/carbon monoxide detector (not sure if someone did that to smoke in there without setting it off or if that is something the staff did for a reason). Trash and dirty linens in the hallway. Thin spring mattress. Positives: cheap(ish), breakfast, working AC and couldn’t hear anyone around us.

Positive: The hotel was clean all around. Negative: No elevator. Negative: No handrails in bathroom shower and is dangerously slippery. Water temperature adjustment knob in bad condition; does not work properly.Water temperature goes up and down even after it's presumably set. Negative: Very difficult to adjust room temperature. It was hot most of the time even after setting it at 72 degrees on "auto." This was when the outdoor temperatures were in the mid-80's.
