Convienent to walk to Gonda Building at Mayo Clinic. Bathroom too small in our room though.
Right across from the clinic. Takes 1 minute to walk over. The hotel is average. Very basic, but sufficient. Could use some upgrades. For example, very old bathroom fixtures, light switches, etc. Two of the four light bulbs were burned out and the sink leaked. That said, neither prevented us from having a comfortable stay that met our needs. The location cannot be beat if you are there for Mayo.
Location good went to our first mayo appointment came back at 945 am and they had our stuff on a cart in the hallway We did not check out and planned on stting in the room until our next appointment . They told us that the cleaning staff knocks on doors and if no one aswers and there is just a few things in the room they assume your done with the room check out is at noon. Please refund our money my husband has cancer and we had to hang out at the hospital for hours he has bladder cancer so no bathroom is hard.I have never heard of that clearing your room out on you.
Older building but clean and quiet. Simple accommodations. Connects to Mayo underground walkways.
Front desk staff not especially welcoming or helpful.
The room was quite dated with stains in the toilet and bathtub, was charged for parking which was not on the website when I booked it and they didn't have enough parking spaces to accomodate guests. No channel guide on TV (the one on there didn't match the actual stations) Website said restaurant on site but its been closed down. People at the front desk were very nice
This is one of many excellent places to stay near Mayo. But this recently renovated Kahler is not only right across the street from the hospital but staff is experienced with guests going there. Breakfast is at Caribou, not too relaxing as it’s a line and noisy, but more quiet seating can be found in the hotel. Didn’t have a chance to try the restaurant. Rooms are laid out perfectly for tired travelers, with coat rack, bathroom and sink with mirror just inside the door.
good staff
Great place to stay when you have appointments at Mayo Clinic.
Close to all of our Mayo appointments.
Very friendly service and great location. Spa was closed but got use of the pool! Would stay again!
Could walk to mayo appointments.
No need to be cold or wet going to the Mayo Clinic — underground tunnels!
Great location for Mayo Clinic!!
Very close to the Mayo Clinic!!!
Staff was unusually unfriendly this stay. I've stayed here 2 other times. Requested late check out, which they ok'd, but then they didn't follow through and locked me out. I also asked if I could switch rooms, even if there was a cost, and they said they had no similar suites...but staff didn't even take the time to look in the system, just said "No".
Good place to stay
Rugs disgusting. Pool empty
