As frequent Marriott guests we were disappointed with our room when we stayed at this hotel. The cleanliness was not up to par, the floors were dirty and there sticky parts on the counter and coffee table. We have never had a room before that we felt was not clean. There were towels missing in the bathroom and the overall feel was a bit tired.
Nicolette and Tracey were wonderful making our first trip to Ann Arbor a terrific experience. Great location, clean reasonably priced rooms and staff that goes above and beyond! The breakfast buffet was plentiful and had options for all diets. We will be back!
I have stayed t this hotel before, but it has been a while since I was back. This hotel is a fairly priced , well situated hotel in the Boston area. It brags a very convenient access to the I-93 . The property itself is well managed, clean, with good facilities. The staff are friendly and very helpful. My only complaint is that the beds feel like they could do with an upgrade. I didn't sleep a wink. The pillows are not supportive and the bed feels almost as if someone had spread a sheet over the local cement park bench. Pity! This spoiled what could have been a perfect stay , and it certainly settled the discussion of whether we would stay the weekend or head back home.
I spend 2 nights here in August with my husband for a little get away. The staff was wonderful and helpful no matter what I asked. The room was clean and we slept like babies! Thank you Lillian for a great breakfast buffet! Chris and Eric were amazing too! Thank you Residence Inn!
The staff is wonderful and the hotel is gorgeous. Feel at home right away! Its location is very beautiful and the guests are happy. This hotel is an absolute joy and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
The Residence Inn in Andover is great for longer stays. As all Residence Inns it has a kitchen and a fridge which allows grocery shopping which I like. My room was exceptionally clean and I liked the gym equipment. Only downside is the the location; good for business but not that much for leisure. I will come back.
Here for two nights while on vacation and attending a graduation ceremony at the nearby Andover Country Club. I stay at Marriott properties as often as possible and this one was great. Complimentary parking, nice room, comfortable bed, good choice of food for breakfast and nice outdoor pool area. Very close to our destination and for the most part we escaped the horrific Boston area traffic! I would certainly stay here again if in the Boston area.
Unbelievable! That's all I can say about this dump of a hotel. On the surface, the room seemed OK, but something was off about the bed. It seemed extremely hard in the center, and it was so soft on the edges I almost rolled out. After a sleepless night, I looked under the mattress in the morning to find a piece of plywood covering about 2/3 of the box springs. Needless to say, I went downstairs and talked to the front desk clerk, "Frank", who assurred me that the bed would be replaced and that the manager would call me as soon as this was accomplished. Neither thing happened. I then emailed the General Manager of the hotel three times with no response. I then contacted Marriott Reward Platinum customer support twice with no response. When I arrived back at my room the plywood bed was still there, just as uncomfortable as ever. I stay at hotels over 150 nights a year traveling for business and this is BY FAR the very worse hotel I have ever stayed in. The bed is not up to the standards of a low budget motel, much less a Marriott property. The lack of concern by the staff is also very concerning. I plan on escalating my complaint with Marriott corporate as I find this situation completely unacceptable. I still have to stay in this dump for 6 more nights unfortunately, but I am thinking of pulling the mattress onto the floor as it must be softer than the plywood. For my second business trip this month I have already cancelled the reservation at this hotel and have changed to the Homewood Suites down the road which is 20 times better than this place. The beds in this hotel, at least in my room, are completely below any standards of hotels of this type and price range. Avoid staying at this place if you want a night of comfortable sleep. I wish I had.
We have recently stayed here for the a weekend they had a very friendly staff, clean rooms, Breakfast was a plus, pool, and basketball court to chill with the kids. Conveniently located to Highways, and local attractions.
Stayed here for a week: 1) Front desk staff is welcoming and attentive. 2) Good breakfast assortment and is varied everyday. However, bacon was gone by 8:30 and they did not replenish, despite 20+ more people arrived. Breakfast ends at 9am. It is very crowded and understaffed (needs at least 3 attendants). Guests waiting for coffee... waiting for plates & silverware to be washed... waiting for bread, etc. Why not just use paper plates & plastic utensils (so the attendants can focus on replenishing food items)? 3) Front lobby building is detached from room building. No roofed breezeway connecting to rooms (it was pouring rain and we were soaked). You have to exit doors and re-enter with your key card. 4) Hallway carpeting looks tired. The hotel could use a remodel job. My room wasn't vacuumed upon check-in. 5) Laundry room hasn't been cleaned since I've checked in. One dryer has been out of order since .......??? 6) Very nice of hotel to offer social/happy hour snack & drinks! 7) Side parking very dark; needs illumination !!! 8) Hotel is not sound-proof. You can hear hallway conversations & kids running around above your floor. 9) Location is isolated from restaurants, shops, supermarket. Mainly surrounded by corporate/business.
