The first room they put us in was freezing and there was a layer of black dirt/dust all over the entire bathroom. They shared this was because the bathroom window was left open. There is no thermostat in the room, and it was 50 degrees. When we asked, the first staff told us there was no heat and the sun would warm the room.
We were switched to a new room which was warmer and certainly cleaner. The rooms are VERY dated. This room had stains on the ceiling, and the bathroom floor was warped so when you tried to close the door it made a ton of noise. They do have heat, but it's controlled externally and turns on when outside reaches a certain temperature. During the night we got quite hot and ended up turning the window air conditioner on. The temperature control situation was pretty frustrating. Then in the morning when we went to shower, there was no hot water. Cold showers for us. The owner didn't believe us and came to our room to show us how to work the water. Turns out the hot water heater was broken and needed replacing. We were never offered any type or service recovery or even an apology. The only positive was its location to the main area of Falmouth which is THE cutest small town I have EVER been to! Everything is walkable.
