Hotel and room was very hot. The internet didn’t work. TV didn’t work. Room service bothere’s you even though you have on the do not disturb sign on. . Beautiful hotel building. Just under the wrong ownership

Not enough towels, nor pillows, lights burnt out so room was dark No screens on windows Could not get Detroit tiger baseball game in tv

Check in was brutal!!! Only one check in person on a Friday at 4pm and they wouldn’t allow early check in. Got there at 4:05 and waited almost 45 min. Would have been helpful if we were told the computer was extremely slow and that they had some issues with house keeping that day. Everyone was very nice though

Went there for my birthday weekend and was very disappointed. The staff seemed to be non existent and the staff you did talk to were beyond rude . There was a point that we were locked out of our room because the key card stopped working and there was no one at the front desk ...just a be back in 30 minutes sign there. After about an of waiting and searching for a worker we found them all on a break down in the bar . When we asked for help they gave attitude like we were ruining their day . The room it self had left over surprises from the previous guest and other guests said the same there in their room while we were waiting. There were plugs that didn’t work in the room and ( not a big deal) there was only a bar of soap so make sure anyone who stays here to bring shampoo and what not. On a side note - the pool is not a pool lol- it is literally 3ft deep at the lowest part .

Tough situation to start the stay took a while to get over....had to wait 2.5 hours after checkin time to get a key to the room because they were having system issues. The staff was a little offputting at check in but warmed up after I didn't get angry at them for the delay. The room was worth the wait, rooms with Riverview are gorgeous and has a nice view. Room and bathroom was LARGE, which all the soaps needed. LOVE the area along the river. Great mile or two walk. A couple of bad smells on the walk but what do you expect along a river. Went to a local bar and grill "Andrews" which was like 1/10 mile walk and the owner was SOOOO nice. Great place to normally go if you want a ride to Detroit as they offer from what i believe to be free shuttle service. Saw the owner of the restaurant the next morning on a walk and he recognized me and we talked some more. GREAT AREA!

It was 92 degrees this day. There was no air in the rooms. Other than the breeze off the water, we were miserable. Too late to book another reservation. Trying to get my money back.😖

Won’t recommed to any ladies. It’s too depressing.

Historical hotel with good and beautiful waterfront view. Unfortunately bad service

This hotel was fine but I wouldn't say it was worth the price. I would stay closer to the downtown center next time. It was right on the water, which was nice, and it was fine, but needs some improvements.

Room was freezing. Heat did not work. Im in here wrapped in blankets with allll my clothes on trying to stay warm.

Hotel is outdated. Had to be switched twice due to plumbing and tv not working. Cancelled the second night of my stay.

Equidistant between downtown Detroit and the Grosse Pointes on Jefferson Roberts Riverwalk is one of the only and safest places to stay. We have been using it for 10 years and will continue to do so.

Thank you for a great stay wish it could've been longer. Great Customer Service.

The room had no door knob on it and I got stuck/locked in it, called the front desk three times and they still didn't show up to get me out, wound up having to kick the door down to get out. Then was given an attitude and was told it was my fault that this happen, and was treated like I was the worst customer ever. Was told I had to pay for the door, the mess never got cleaned up the wood chips where just left there the entire time AI had the room. Half of the power outlets where left open and exposed without any comers over them; the one closet door was also missing a door knob and was stuck so you couldn't open it. The entire room was just not acceptable, no way it could pass an inspection, half the lights didn't work. I went there with a group for the Browns game, two of the other rooms we where in had no heat and they made us come down to get space heaters because it was too hard for them to move from the front desk. When the first person from our group got there to check in he was told sorry we do not have your reservation, we over booked and everyone in the line that was out of the door was all in the same situation, they had no rooms and no one notified them. The worst hotel I have ever experienced, there is nothing you could do to get me to stay here ever again, and I would recommend anyone to find any other hotel to stay at.

ROOM NOT CLEANED PLEASE TAKE OFF A NIGHT FROM MY BILL. NO MANAGER TO BE FOUND ON STAFF

Front desk staff were not inviting, borderline rude

Nice location, cool building (used to be an insane asylum?) staff were friendly at the desk but was annoying when someone knocked on my door right at 11am telling me to check out.. not sure if that's a policy but had a generally swell time. I love Detroit

This is a beautiful hotel onthe riverwalk, yet surprised at the experience. It took over an hour to check in. I was given the wrong room, changed to a room that was already occupied (clothing everywhere), then booked into another room. The air and lamps did not work. I called twice because "they forgo the first time. It took a little more than two hours for maintanence and towel to arrive. The next day the room was not cleaned. I was informed (after calling) that I must request cleaning. The carpet was dirty and contained an odor from the 1st to 4th floor. I am extremely disappointed.

Rooms were not cleaned or ready for checkin and front desk staff was rude and incompetent. Hotel was overbooked and there was a lot of confusion around reservations.

Check in was at 3:00 PM which derailed my morning arrival. There is a $18 per day resort rate added which was not listed on the third party booking agency but the stay was nice as usual. Comfortable rooms with basic amenities. Restaurant and bar right downstairs. I always stay there when I visit family in Detroit. Nice walks and bike rentals nearby and free parking. You need a car to get anywhere except the water which is right there. It's really a three star hotel which at first feels like four stars. Owners should make the necessary investment to make it four stars. Ive travelled to over forty countries and this hotel is slightly above average, affordable and perfectly comfortable and quiet. I'm a low maintenance guy and this hotel suits my needs.
