I stayed at this hotel while I was in Lethbridge for meetings. I stay at many hotels around the province, and this hotel is comparable to many. The room that I stayed in had been renovated and was perfectly fine! The one elevator is a little dated and a little slow during peak times, however, the stairs are there and you can get your steps in that way!! The pool and hot tub are a little dated but nonetheless, relaxing, I must talk about the service I received in the pub/restaurant. Brennan is such an enjoyable, friendly, competent young man.... and you MUST listen to his piano playing! OMG! After leaving the restaurant I went up to my room, opened the patio doors that overlooked the restaurant, and listened to his amazing ability !! What a wonderful way to drift off to sleep!! Aurora is also amazing! She is friendly, with an amazing smile and great customer service! So all in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel. They are working hard to bring all parts of the hotel up to date,,I look forward to my next stay here...

I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a conference. My room was nice, had everything I needed, and the wifi worked well. Layout of the hotel is rather odd, with one having to go basically through the restaurant to get to the elevator closest to many of the rooms. It's undergoing some construction. The hot breakfast is very good, as were the conference meals. My one complaint is that half the rooms face a huge indoor area with the restaurant and a pool, and they let people use the pool until after 10:30 PM, and they made a lot of noise. Problem, even on the 4th floor. I finally put in earplugs, so I don't know when they stopped, but at midnight they were gone.

Stayed at hotel as Christmas party held there thought it would be nice to not have to get a cab. Clean rooms updated, hot room even turned off heat still hot, bed was not comfortable breakfast was complimentary it was good. Not very many happy people there working, waitresss was the first person to smile and be very nice. I receive text msgs when my credit card is charged and asked why I was double charged, front desk Clark was going to sweep it under the rug she finally called a manager, he had no nicety about him at all. Will not stay there again.

We have stayed at this hotel several times. It is a very nice hotel but the service is just average. The construction times are also very inappropriate and poorly communicated. They start just before 8am and you are not given any heads up when booking. The pillows are also very, very large and stiff. So if you need a thin pillow, you will need to bring your own.

Just stay there for a business/sporting events. Had an amazing time in some of the nicer room at with friends… Some of the other rooms are a bit shabby chic… However all the rooms were very clean with modern TVs good Wi-Fi and the other amenities in the hotel work right

Brought my family of 5 down to Lethbridge from Calgary for a swim competition on the weekend. I complained about our room the moment we entered as it was dirty (carpets and bathroom with mold). I was told there were no other rooms available so with nowhere else to go we stayed. I complained about the noise the first night as our room faced the atrium and unless you want to stay up most of the night, the noise is unbelievable. It’s now the second night and there is a banquet going on with extremely loud talking and unbearably loud music. All this with my young children needing to be awake and rested for competition by 6:00 am tomorrow morning. I spoke with the manager at 11:15 pm about the noise and was told there was nothing that could be done. Direct quote “this is a hotel sir, you have to expect things to happen”...and here I thought I was spending money so my family could enjoy themselves and rest (silly me). The treatment by the front desk and management has been atrocious. I will personally never stay at this establishment ever again and I would strongly urge you to consider the same action. Until hotels learn that their nightly guests are what pays the bills, change will not be forthcoming. You can also see quite a large portion of negative reviews along with mine on this site with management responses in defense almost every single time. While I applaud the fact they’re actually reading the reviews, it may actually be easier to do something constructive while guests are in the hotel rather than apologize to the internet after the fact! Choose another hotel - I beg you!

This hotel is in need of a major upgrade. Our room looked like it was out of the 1970s. The bathroom was so small and the fixtures were a sandy pink colour. Vintage. The whole place just looked rundown and neglected and the corridors were dark. Our room overlooked an interior pool area so we kept the curtains shut making the room darker. We stayed here for it's proximity to the Galt museum where a wedding reception was being held and it was within walking distance. Parking is limited in front of the hotel. I think we managed to get one of the last spots when we arrived. The bed was comfy enough and breakfast at the restaurant was ok. It was a buffet with a fairly good selection. Price was reasonable. Staff was all very friendly. I think this hotel is slated for an upgrade. However for the price it was ok for a couple of nights.

Friendly and courteous staff. Room was clean but dated. Hotel is going through a renovation and the room I was in was still “old”. Functional - look forward to seeing the renovated room next time. Great price and value for what I paid.

We were in town for the event and stayed here as it is the sponsoring hotel. Disappointed we had to pay full price (160$) instead of the discounted price for runners. We were on the 4th floor facing the pool area. The room itself is ok and the beds were comfortable. Our a/c did not work even after maintenance looked at it. This made for a very hot and stuffy room. Opening the balcony door was not an option with the noise around the pool area. At 160$ a night I would certainly not stay here again.

Let me preface this review by saying I grew up in Lethbridge and have always loved this hotel. For that reason I have always loyally stayed here when I visit. The last two times though, the beds were so rock hard that I couldn't sleep on them. The one time I slept on the couch cushions and the second time I harassed the night man to bring up several of those foam hotel blankets to put on top of the mattress. This time I was told that I was getting a room with a new bed so I booked again. The "new" bed is the rock hard bed that can't be slept on. I even asked if an upgrade to a renovated suite would change anything and the girl at the desk on check in said that it is the same new bed for all the rooms so it doesn't matter if you pay more - you will still be on the worst bed. I had to bring in a foam in as a topper since I was committed to stay for a few days. What I think should be done: 1) The manager who signed off on these beds for the hotel guests should have to sleep on one in his own home for the 5 years it takes to get all new beds so they know what they will be putting their guests through. 2) They should make the best of things by stocking foam toppers for guests available upon request at a charge or not - but have the option or they will lose customers. Most hotels are creating "sleep experiences" where people ask where they can buy the mattress and bedding after thier stay to bring that experience home. This is the opposite. Hotels buy hard beds when they want the beds to last a looooong time to save money. Most of the time the bad beds outlive the customers since all are forced to go elsewhere to sleep until the mistake is corrected. The hard beds are not any kind of value long term since you lose customer base. I hope the Lodge finds a solution since new counters are nice - but you do go to a hotel room to sleep - the bed should be a priority. Otherwise the atrium is always nice and there are a few staff members that are really good.
