After booking and seeing the reviews of this hotel I was honestly a little worried. Solo parent with children, this hotel felt safe, very convenient across the street from the mall (less than 10 minute walk, majority your just waiting to cross the busy street). Room was clean, definitely showing its age but not terrible. Room walls are thin and could hear our neighbors. Free breakfast isn't much, just bread, make your own waffles, yogurt and 2 kinds of cereal. Overall it did it's purpose of a clean, safe, stay near West Edmonton mall.

Pros: Located across the street from WEM, Linens and bed were very comphy and room was clean. Our view was of a park which was relaxing. The staff was friendly. With the mall across the street, there are a lot of places to eat during mall hours. Cons: The walls between the connecting room was paper thin (we were lucky our neighbours went to bed early.) The breakfast room was 15 min late opening so the lineup became overwhelming with such a small space and delayed our departure by an hour. However this could be a one off and things happen. I would recommend making sure the places you want to visit are open because we arrived on a Tuesday and either the places we wanted to visit (conservatory, museum, etc) were closed that day or other options would be closing by 5pm. And without a hotel pool, it was a boring but relaxing trip.

Honestly it was pretty decent, nothing special. They didn’t have sheets that covered the whole mattress, but I guess some like to touch the mattress with their feet all night? (It was too late to ask them to do anything about it because my kids were asleep by the time we got into bed) Either way, it’s pretty alright, that’s about it.

The Inn is becoming dated and needs to be renovated. The free breakfast in the morning is extremely limited. Location is great but would think twice about staying again. TV channels do not have anything on that is worth watching in the evening

Good Mall Option

Very clean and quiet, two minute walk to the mall, very convenient and economical for the area. The mattresses were harder than I am used to and there weren't any modifications available so not the best rest. Kids were fine, however, and service was solid.
