the hotel is ok just the price for the kind of hotel

We were in town for a concert at Harvey's Outdoor Arena. Not only was the price reasonable, (and free breakfast) it was right across the street from the venue. This will definitely be the place to stay for future events.

Lake Tahoe Resort Hotel is beautiful but South Lake Tahoe is a very crowded place. This extends to the hotel itself which, though very nicely appointed, at times has the ambience of Disneyland -- lots of crowds, long lines (at breakfast), noise. To be fair, they do handle large numbers of people as efficiently as possible; we were impressed with how well their large breakfast staff moved things along considering what they faced each morning. But then there is the experience of South Lake Tahoe (SLT) itself. We came midweek, hoping to avoid some traffic and crowding but were stymied at every turn. SLT is one solid traffic jam and we could find no parking in the lots or along the road as we drove around the lake. So we drove and drove. We did find parking and a good experience at the north and northeast sides of the lake -- Incline Village and the dinner theater at Sand Harbor. For those interested in Tahoe, we would recommend avoiding the southern portion and staying, instead, at the northern end. There you will find at least a chance of parking and far less overcrowding.

$19 a day resort fee $19 a day parking Want A omelette with your breakfast they'll charge you five dollars Happy hour you pay for your drinks and tortilla chips included We had to move rooms toilet was leaking they change this as soon as we told them and were very good about it the second room had the shower coming out from the wall It was not leaking the lack of maintenance is a issue. When embassy ran it the vibe was so much better

Overall, facility is clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated/landscaped. Also in a very good location, near lots of yuppie shops, and right on the California side of the state line. I was a little disappointed in the "resort fee", which is nothing more than an excuse to charge $19 more than advertised. The fee supposedly includes "beach access". The actual beach is a public beach about 2 miles down the road. Allotted parking was full and we had to park on the busy highway and walk for about 1/2 mile.

Valet parking is inconvinient. It costs $19 plus $19 resort fee. Too expensive!

Great location! Great service! Great room! And near all the action.

The hotel is located in a very convenience area. It's close to restaurants, shops, beach and the state line. The room is big and has a kitchenette with a dining table. However, it's a little bit old and needs to be updated.

Breakfast is not well prepared had to go elsewhere to eat! Need breakfast to be better love my stay!

We usually stay at this hotel. But this last time, it was disappointing. The shower curtain looked like someone bleed to death or belch on it. The room smelled badly.

Great experience Recommend for my friends and families Located near the shopping mall

Just got back from the last ski weekend of the season at heavenly. Free breakfast was key and really increases the value. Otherwise, decent place. Wish they had more than that one small hot tub. It was crowded in there.

Very nice experience, room was very roomy and clean and nice view to the mountain. The breakfast was very good, a lot of choice, most importantly food like eggs/potatoes/bacon/sausage are served fresh. The fish pond is very nice, kids loved it. The location is very nice as well.

roomy suite, more than enough for a family of 3. very convenient location. breakfast is good but not as good as the real Embassy Suites style. the only issue is pricy valet parking fee on top of resort fee (self parking option is on your own risk on the roadside).

Very nice hotel, great location, staff were generally super!

This hotel is great for a family looking to stay close to the lifts and all the action in South Shore. I highly recommend.. very cool vibe and great morning breakfast for those looking for basic breakfast items. 2 of the elevators were out of order when we were there which made wait times long as we were on the 8th floor, but otherwise everything was pleasant.

Nice hotel for family but breakfast buffet is always the same everyday.

Close to Gondola and casinos. Breakfast has a lot of variety. The parking and resort fee should be part of the room rate, since you cannot opt out. Will stay here again because of the convience to all the area snow sports.

Pretty pricey with a terrible breakfast. Room decor is very dated.

I have stayed here a few times with my family. It is a former Embassy Suites hotel. The hotel still has the free buffet breakfast and happy hour. The pool and jacuzzi are indoors and close to the breakfast/happy hour area, yet still feel somewhat private. This is all located on the second floor, which can be a little noisy. I would recommend asking not to be booked on the second floor. The staff is friendly and helpful we asked to move rooms because the family staying next to us were banging on the walls and being loud all night. We were accommodated right away and on a very busy weekend! Thank you Meghan! The hotel is easily accessible to Heavenly (and the casinos). In the winter there is a hill located behind the hotel where the kids can sled. It is a very easy walk, even with all your snowboard/ski gear, to the Heavenly gondola. They have a great valet service and you can park at the hotel for a fee. I have also parked in the outside parking lot behind the hotel, which is free. Would recommend this hotel for your stay at anytime during the year, but we especially love it in Winter!

We apologize if our housekeeping team overlooked some items when making your room guest ready. Our front desk is always happy to find an alternate solution if our guest is not satisfied with the suite that we assigned.
