We loved the location and the property. I hope that we just caught the staff on an “off” weekend. Had to ask more than once for a pillow, coffee service not replaced, etc

Great hotel, awesome location. Rooms are very nice but needs new mattresses.

Nice Hotel but Room very noisy, walls between the rooms really thin and parking expensive for the overnight.

The excellent staff stands out amongst its competitors

On 31OCT19 my flight through Atlanta was redirected due to weather, and by the time we returned to ATL I had missed all connections to Key West. That evening I called the Marker’s reservation desk to inform them of my 1-day delay. I was assured my room would be available. When I arrived at the Marker on 01NOV19, they did not have a reservation for me, and also no availability. They were able to transfer me to a suitable alternative at the Southernmost Hotel, however the hassle only compounded a challenging travel experience. I have enjoyed staying at the Marker in the past but will consider other options during my next visit to Key West.

Room and service was fine, however the Marker charged $40 per day for a resort fee. They have three pools, two were open to the public and construction was going on next to the third at the fitness center. When questioned about the fitness center, they said I could go to a center nearby and have it charged to my room. What is left that is worth $40/day. When this was addressed, I was offered breakfast for one day and two well drinks. I could have this cheaper any else on the island... Shame shame and bye

Great location in the seaport area. Immaculate room. Pool area is great!

We stayed last year and had a wonderful stay, this year not so much, we arrived 2 hours before check in so we were charged a $40 fee, even tho our room was ready. Last year they didn't charge us, last year you were given 2 bottles of water a day, this year you had to pay, last year we were greeted at the door, taken to our room questions answered, this year pay the forty bucks and here's your room card, the elevator is that way!! The bartender was the same wonderful man thankfully that has not changed. The pool is not just for the people that are staying there even tho you pay the resort fee. On Saturday a group of young people came and took over the whole pool with a giant inflatable pink flamingo. We were ADVISED that they were putting it in the pool, but we could jump on. How kind, so in answer to anyone's question - NO I will not stay there again and if you have any sense you won't either

This a nice hotel. This is NOT a resort to charge $40/day resort fee. Other than a pool there are no Amenities. No Spa It says live music. Only a DJ on Friday. No Music on Saturday. Resort fee is a rip off.

I loved the color scheme. Also, loved the veranda. It was like a rain forest where I had my coffee each morning. I would have liked a microwave in the room. Also, another trash receptacle would have been helpful. The ones in the room were very small. Otherwise, it was a lovely place to stay.

Hotel was outstanding except the room next to us was under construction and we were not alerted to be ready for constant noise and disruption outside of the typical “pardon our construction signs” in the lobby. Made an otherwise enjoyable trip a little less so.

The Valet David is the best. Very comfortable bed. Great balcony view. All the great stuff to do is in walking distance!

Front desk was rude. Not ready for check in at 4pm. Rooms not ready. Valet guys were great and room was clean. location was great. Also picture shown on orbitz is not that of the room available instead of the upgraded room they try to upgrade you to.

I loved everything! The staff was amazing and everything was clean. We were located in the perfect spot where everything was walking distance.

Close to everything but still quiet, clean, and a nice pool bar.

Location and pools are excellent. There were good daily and happy hour specials at the poolside bar and restaurant.

This property is in the seaport area and is closely located to all things in Old Town. Great property!

Dear Traveler, Thank you choosing The Marker Waterfront Resort for your recent Key West vacation! I am so pleased we could host your Key West experience. Our bijou resort has found a quiet little home perfectly settled between the iconic Schooner Wharf and the Famous Duval Street, a little something for everyone. With regards to our Housekeeping Department, I do apologize. The beginning of this month did see some unprecedented events concerning the growing pandemic and it did start to have an early knock on affect on services eventually leading to the suspension of all operations. Once we re-open, we will continue to improve and hone all areas of our operation. We do hope you choose to come back to us under more fortuitous circumstances, we would love the chance to give you that true 5*stay! Always at your service, Sean Van Den Broeck General Manager

Dear Traveler, Thank you choosing The Marker Waterfront Resort for your recent Key West vacation! Our bijou resort has found a quiet little home perfectly settled right in Old Town Key West at the iconic Schooner Wharf, a little something for everyone. With regards to the noise issues you experienced, I do apologize! Our guests are the eyes and ears of our operation, so we thank you for your feedback. We wouldn’t be good at what we did if we didn’t listen and act, continuing to improve and hone all areas of our operation. Unfortunately parking is Key West is expensive and there is not a lot available especially in the coveted downtown area, so we offer a Valet service as an alternative to paid city parking. Even the locals do not get to park downtown for free! Luckily, because our location is so great, once you are here you do not really need a car because everything is walkable or accessible by free local bus service, The Duval Loop which stops and picks up in two convenient locations near the hotel. We do hope you choose to come back to us, we would love the chance to give you that true 5*stay! Always at your service, Sean van Den Broeck General Manager

Dear Traveler, Thank you for your review and for choosing The Marker Resort for your recent vacation! We do pride ourselves on our lovely clean rooms and friendly customer service, not to mention the amenities we offer around the resort in this amazing location! Our Resort is competitive with other great resorts in the area whilst offering many things that other resorts do not. In addition to our pools and room amenities one would expect, we also offer daily scuba dive lessons, a nightly complimentary specialty drinks hour, an evening turn down service, aqua yoga and much more! I do apologize about the construction, in order to ensure that our facilities are top notch for our guests we are having a face lift, renovations of existing areas and adding some extra rooming options for our guests and expanding our gym and meeting room areas! During the period where we have no fitness center, we arranged for our guests to use the 24hr gym next to the hotel and we would reimburse the cost of the day pass on your room so that it is included in your resort fee and nothing extra is actually paid. I am sorry if this was miscommunicated to you! I do hope you chose to come back to see us, The Marker really is a unique and special Resort on this island and we would love to give you a true 5* Marker stay, and show off after our renovations when we shall look our very very best with added extras! Always at your service, Sean Van Den Broeck General Manager

Dear Traveler, I am disappointed to see your rating but thank you for offering me the chance to respond. Our beautiful property with its 3 pool and varied amenities and activities, is located on the stunning Schooner Wharf and a few mere steps to the famous Duval Street, we really do have a special place on this Island. We have always operated a local friendly policy at our general pools area as here in Key West we are One Human Family (the unofficial tagline of Key West) and the only way we could operate and sustain a bar and restaurant at our boutique resort is to encourage the locals to support us throughout the year. 'The Pink Flamingo' was a pre booked party event by one of our regular local patrons in one of our pools. We also have the serenity pool which is the biggest of our pool areas, in a secluded guest only access area of the hotel so that guests do have the option of exclusivity. I am so sorry if you feel that the service was below par to your last stay. We love our repeat guests and I am very sad that we seem to have come up short! Thank you for your feedback, we would not be good at what we do unless we listen and take action, continuing the training process so that we can reach that 5* consistent service level throughout the hotel as is our standard. With regards to check in fee, many flights coming in at this time of year are very early and the Key West Express also arrives before noon and often people are wanting to access rooms before check out has even happened! A small one off fee can help us to help you to start your reservation early as we can use extra staff to help expedite the process. Closer to the 4pm check in time if we have available rooms we do start releasing complimentary. With people wanting both early check ins and late check outs it is a balancing act! Always at your Service, Sean Van Den Broeck, GM
