When booking the hotel, I thought the rooms would be indoors, but they were not. They were outdoor rooms, and I didn't like that. There was no microwave and mini fridge in the room. The bathroom wasn't the cleanest. It was okay overall.
rude night staff wrong room i booked a 2 bed room. i got a 1 bed room
Cons: $13-$17 each way to the French Quarter. Dead roach in the bathroom. No refrigerator. Pros: Next to convenience store and IHOP. Cab sits at hotel. $Price
Positives-The hotel was easy to find, the room clean & convenient to drive over the bridge into N.O. Negatives-Wehad to unplug the extremely noisy refrigerator at night and the parking lot was extremely noisy (car parked with a group hanging out listening to hip hop or rap thumping very loudly!) I called the front desk to find out what was going on...they said they knew what it was and the music stopped a bit later. We are staying there again in July, so the issues we experienced were minor in the grand scheme of things.
The hotel was in a great location not far at all from downtown, beds very comfortable, there were no noise complaints and it was just s very nice place to stay.
I stayed one night at this hotel (on a busy Saturday night) The Staff was awesome and helpful. The room was great, the beds were so comfortable I wanted to take it home. They have an IHOP and gas station in walking distance. And it only cost $14 to take a taxi from the hotel to Bourbon street. I will definitely stay here ever time I come to New Orleans.
I stay with my family in 2/20/2015 to 2/22/2015 in room 247 was nasty the smell in the room terible and the towels full of hair and nasty dirty. Stayed at the La Quinta about two miles from the French Quarter in New Orleans. Very easy to get to the heart of the action and a very clean and nice hotel.
it was more than I hope for. I was very pleased with the room and my stay.
Place is okay, room clean, location not fantastic, feels insecure.
The staff was very polite and helpful. The outside of the hotel doesn't say much but the room was impeccable (dated but impeccable) There's a bucca di bepo, IHOP and gas station literally next door, so that was definitely convenient. Considering we were just looking for a place to sleep (with out 2 dogs) in a safe area and that could accommodate the 6x12 trailer we were pulling, this was a good deal.
The room it's self was clean and nice but all our neighbors were loud and there was a fight right outside the room in the middle of the night I tried calling the front desk in the middle of the night and in the morning I never could get them to answer the phone.
We loved the location and comfort of the room (wish my own bed was that comfortable!) but am disappointed with the house keeping. They kept coming to the room when our toddler was napping and we asked them to come back later and they never did. When we called the front desk they desk house keeping had already left. We were there for Memorial Day weekend and they seemed unprepared for the swarm of guests they had - they ran out of some food items at breakfast.
close to places and comfortable. however if driving your car, beware of small paid parking lots, they might just put a hole in your bumper as they did mine.
Good location and hotel for last minute booking during mardi gras
The room was not clean. fingernails from a prior visitor on the carpet. breakfast location too small for the number of rooms. dirt all over the place. to less staff to handle the service.
I cost 30 dollars round trip for a taxi to the french quarter! Staff was extremely helpful with any and all my questions. The only downside was the construction is really confusing so hard to maneuver into the hotel. But I cant argue for paying for an entire weekend for what it would have cost for a single night in other!!
Clean room, friendly staff was ready to offer local/insider tips on what to see for out-of-towners. Cute pool area. Only complaints are that there is no in-room fridge, and one of the wall lamps didn't work. Easy five minute drive to downtown New Orleans.
Beds and rooms were clean & comfortable enough for the price. Road traffic sounds were loud. Pluming made itr difficult to get a good water temp in the shower. Too colld or too hot was the norm. Staff replaced the coffee portions on day two but failed to leave any creamer, suger, stirrers, or coffee cups.
Tried to find an inexpensive hotel on the Westbank. Location was pretty convinient for us. What I didn't like was that upon arrival we found a huge "water bug" in our room and 2 cock roaches the second night. At least they provided us some roach spray...
