Hyatt Regency New Orleans

It is a huge business hotel with several restaurants. The seafood restaurant was pretty good, breakfast was decent too. Overall, we did not like to stay in this hotel because the bed is extremely uncomfortable. It is soft and when two people are on a king size bed, they roll over to each other. Also, there is something wrong with water supply; water is oily as like there are some chemicals in it! It is impossible to wash out soap on your hands and body. Furthermore, the hotel looks dated and need renovation. The majority of guests are over 70 years old! As a side note, we do not recommend travelling to New Orleans (if you've never been there). It is dirty, stinky and unpleasant city with a huge amount of homeless and dangerous people. Hope it helps!

Facility itself was nice. However, after reserving my 3 rooms 6 months ahead, we got to the hotel and found that my rooms were not even on the same floor. This meant family members had to take the elevator to visit between rooms. Also, my room rate had breakfast buffet included, but at checkout, the front desk personnel had charged me for breakfast and a lunch (which we had not eaten there). He stated he was removing the charges, however, while checking my credit card account several days later, there was still a charge for the breakfasts. I called and spoke with hotel staff in the front office and was told the charges would be removed that day. Three business days later (today), the charges were still there. I called the hotel again, and was told they thought they had been removed, but they would definitely be removed today. Will check back in a couple of days to see if they were. There was an outdoor concert at the Smoothie King Center nearby, and the noise was disturbing . However, the concert ended at 11:00 PM.

Enjoyed our stay. We loved the panoramic view of the Superdome

Had a room with an air-conditioner that was leaking onto the floor and carpet was wet and saturated. Stay was fine otherwise.

Frustrating due to being overbooked, and difficult due to being disabled and having kids with me. But it was a very nice hotel, the facilities were nice and the restaurants were good. Location was just OK… I'm sure depending on what he wanted to do.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff, clean rooms, wonderful food, very accommodating.

Great full service hotel in New Orleans. I would book here again.

We felt welcomed from our arrival to departure. Staff assisted with ideas to make New Orleans fun and easy to find our way around. So many people at the hotel and in the city went out of their way to help. We will be back.

First time staying here and I will definitely be back. Beautiful hotel with great amenities!

I reported it and the staff brought up a replacement blanket. They apologized but offered no credit. When I checked out, I reminded them of the incident. The staffer said she wouldn't have been able to stay in the room after that. She applied a $75 credit. Pretty unacceptable for a hotel of this cost and expectation.

Thoroughly enjoyed it. We rented a car and made day trips to Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Hattiesburg MS, and of course the French Quarter which is two blocks away.

Upscale place ..a little on the pricey side but very nice.

I've stayed at the Hyatt Regency twice and will always stay there....great atmosphere, numerous bar/restaurant options, grest pool...awesome staff-especially in the Club.

The hotel was great and the staff was exceptional. They even had wine in my room for my birthday. Anything we asked for was supplied. The food was fantastic and reasonable for the type of hotel. Would definitely recommend. It was also within walking distance of stores where small items were required.

It started out bad when I found out it was a non-smoking hotel. We left and drove around for a little while, then drove back had a gentleman check us in this time and he was extremely nice. Went up to the room and saw Eric dropping off luggage at a different room asked him if could go to the parking garage for our luggage, he said yes. He showed us some of the hotel and showed me the balcony where I could smoke. I told him we were there for our 40th anniv. and a little later a bottle of champagne was brought to our room. The staff in the hotel are very helpful. Great stay.

Hotel is across from the New Orleans Superdome. A little walk from the French Quarter if that is your focus.

What can I say? This hotel is so massive with restaurants and gift shops everywhere. I hardly wanted to leave. Prices are way too high, but I didn't mind because I was on vacation. It was worth it to enjoy this magnificent hotel. HIGHLY RECOMMED!

Enjoyed my stay in New Orleans and I really liked the location of the Hyatt Regency and the hotel was very clean and I enjoyed the restaurants there. But after my three night stay and having my iPad stolen out of my room, I would have to say that I was not a happy camper.

This hotel was so clean and pretty. I had an awesome view of the Smoothie King Stadium. The concierge was very helpful with booking a cruise and explaining the trolley system. Be careful of the check in upgrades on rooms. My check in clerk was deceitful with the pricing of a room upgrade that she offered upon my arrival. The management did fix my issue on the spot and the charges went away. So listen closely and make sure the prices on the paper match what was quoted to you verbally.

Arrived before the Sugar bowl and New Years, and staff was super attentive and informative.
