Wonderful view- outside and inside restaurants- with a view of the beautiful river valley. Great service and food was delicious! Rooms were very large, and the bed was very very comfortable. Very quiet. Breakfast was also very lovely with the view of the river valley, and food was good. Valet parking made me feel safe- $28 a night.
Staff are very caring and friendly. Location is central. Had good quiet nights of sleep. Clean. Good meeting rooms and good food and reasonably priced. Great views. Free wifi. Good facilities. Definitely would come back.
Conveniently located at the outskirts of downtown, this hotel is within walking distance to a number of different amenities but is in a bit of a food desert restaurant wise and you'll have to walk further towards 104th or drive to find something decent. The hotel has a restaurant with good food and a nice area overlooking the river but it is expensive; the standard fare buffet breakfast in particular will run you $18. The staff are friendly, the hotel is clean, and it is a good choice for business travelers that need easy access to offices in the downtown core.
Recently stayed at this property for the first time, to attend a major convention happening next door at the Shaw Convention Center. Was warmly greeted by the front desk staff, and given my keys quickly.. Unfortunately there was a number of issues which hiccuped, but the on duty supervisor managed to find me a new room quite quickly so I could get over to where I needed to be. Upon returning later that evening I was welcomed back to the hotel with a generous cheese & fruit plate in my room. The rooms are quite comfortable, elevators are Secured which is a nice feature for that part of Downtown Edmonton.. Lobby is great with a little snack shop which has some scrumptious sandwiches which are to die for! You can also grab some drinks, salads and other great items as well. There is a bar/restaurant available but didn't get to visit as I was stuck next door most of the time. Room was very quiet, didn't hear very much if anything for being near the elevator.. and even street noise was slim to none except for the Edmonton Fire Trucks which went by a few times. Overall a great stay, due to a family emergency I did have to leave earlier than expected.. The Supervisor was wonderful again (same one from check in) in expediting my check out so I could get on the highway quickly. Will consider this location as a must stay next time I head to Edmonton.
Great hotel rate for the area and nice overview of the city from the restaurant. Serves Starbucks coffee downstairs. The room is a bit small though. Breakfast selection can be larger. Great location, located in downtown, close to restaurants and business and about 30 mins from the airport.
This hotel is amazing. Beautiful location right downtown near numerous high end and tasty restaurants. As well as shopping centres a few blocks away and the LTR system will take you all over Edmonton for cheap. The Bistro in the restaurant over looks the river. This is a must if you decide to stay downtown Edmonton. The staff are super friendly and there to help where they can.
We were greeted at the front door. Very friendly staff. Clean rooms and very quiet. I would highly recommend this hotel. The only problem was we were not told about the $30 parking until check in. We had phoned and pre booked our room and nothing was mentioned.
I enjoyed my recent stay here. Front desk and restaurant staff was very helpful. Located in downtown Edmonton, everything was close by. Expo center was a 10-15 minute drive away. About a 30 minute drive to the airport. Room was nice and clean. Though I didnt like where the toilet was located. A bit close to the wall and window for my preference. The hotel is located right near a park with a running/walking path. Unfortunately, the path was closed for construction. One day when it's complete, this will be a great place to stay if you like to (run or walk). Hotel parking was right outside. A bit expensive, not secured and you need to pay daily.
I am not one to easily recommend anything, but I can honestly say that the customer care offered at this Marriott, by the Guest Services Manager Ulrike Vesper and the entire Front Desk team, is exceptional! I have stayed at this hotel practically every week since March, and I am greeted by smiling faces, and always receive the best service. Compared to the lack of customer service I have experienced at our properties and restaurants in Edmonton, this is definitely a refreshing place. One thing I really like about the hotel is the variety of rooms - and how spacious they are. Every room is different and unique, but complete with the same high standard you would expect from a Marriott. Overall my stays at the Courtyard Marriott have been amazing and I recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay in a central location. And I forgot to mention a wonderful feature - the outdoor patio is right on the cliff side of the spectacular river valley. Stay here!
I was at the Courtyard Edmonton Downtown for business and must say it is a great place for business venue. The rooms are clean and the employees at the front desk are nice. I noted the place as average because in terms of rooms, I really did not like the configuration of the room, especially the bathroom.
