Every one was terruble and they still my sandles
The room had a gross mildewy smell. Couldn’t switch rooms because the hotel was sold out. Windows don’t open, so we were told we could get something sprayed to mask the smell, which sounded grosser, so we tolerated it all weekend. The room was banged up, but had a living area and fridge, and breakfast was above and beyond. Overall, would have been a decent stay if it weren’t for the smell.
Old and dark, too dark to see if it was clean or dirty. I will not stay here again.
The a/c didn’t work properly the room was very hot all night.
People were polite and very helpful. I always stay in the Hyatt, it this facility was up to the usual good standards. Thank you, we enjoyed the trip and the stay!!!
The room was ok but the bathroom had some exposed pipe that was rusty and the shower curtain was broken. The iron in the room didn’t work and a replacement was given to late, as I had to leave and did not have time to take my clothes off to iron them. There was an odd odor, not bad but not good, in the room initially.
I like the honest of the staff and how apologetic they are.
After staying at the Hyatt Place, Waco, which was a great stay at a great property, I was looking forward to my stay at the Hyatt Place, Garland/Richardson. Arriving early I was asked for a $25 early check-in fee. I decided to come back closer to check-in time. Glad I did. Driving up to this property, the exterior looks great. It all ends there. The lobby has a distinct smell to it. One lift is out-of-order, and judging by the tape on the door, has been that while for a while. Only one ice machine working on the top floor. Hallway carpets are disgusting. A simple vacuum would at least give a better appearance. The rooms are spacious, but they lacked towels during my stay and one towel was visibly dirty of makeup that had been folded and put on the rack for use. Staff moral is at an all time low. I don’t blame the staff, I blame the Hyatt corporation for allowing this property with their name on it become this way, and management not on Hyatt’s back to fix this. I would have been better off in a Motel 6!
I liked the service. Employees were super hospitable. I love that they are pet friendly. I didn't like that housekeeping services were confusing. I never received any service in my room while there but, later found out that for service, sheets and trash had to be put outside for change and discard
Pool was fine but closed. Toilet leaked and smelled. Found some mold near the window. AC unit stayed on all night.
Hotel is well clean staff were friendly close to a lot of stores and restaurants great location. Overall very good hotel.
Didn’t like no having read towels toilet paper…
Best bed I’ve ever slept on!
Room was legit and comfortable. Would of gave higher review but tv guide didn't work properly. Breakfast was very bland. Pool was closed. I I think it's no fault of the hotel but more the city of Garland. Still a lot of covid restrictions in place.
Very clean, easy to get to, close to a lot of good restaurants and amdbt
The place is ok for a night and for single person. There was no microwave in the room, very inconvenient for family. So if you're traveling with family or children, then do not stay there. Wifi was not coded. It didn't have password, so any of your transaction will not be secured because it is a public WiFi. It was a beautiful and neat place thou. There was no room service unless you called and took them long time to respond. The breakfast was not a buffet as claimed.
Stayed here during the COVID panemic so there were some limitation to the hotel like no pool and workout facility. There was no daily room service unless requested. That being said.... My room had an issue with the lock not closing due to a misalignment, you had to pull on the door for it to click shut when leaving or push it shut when getting into your room. I reported this to the front desk, they said they would send someone to check it out but never did. They also said they will follow and move me to a new room if they could not fix it, they never did. As reported, daily room service wasn't offered due to the pandemic which is understandable. The issue was it wasn't communicated at check in and it was done when requested. The daily free breakfast was offered as to go brown bag with fruit, breakfast bar, and a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant or French toast. I don't know if you need to request syrup for the French toast or they forgot, I did not follow up. Juice and coffee was by request. Beds were comfortable. The power outlet by the TV did not work, I did not report it. Shower had decent pressure and hot water on demand. I would have given them a higher rating but the oversight on the personal request lowered it. My request also came before the influx of hurricane Laura evacuees....
The room was very comfortable and clean. The location is convenient to a lot of stores and restaurants.
