I was so happy to find such a great deal on Orbitz. This hotel is so big & beautiful. Our room, hip & historic, was perfect. And the location was perfect to the theater, the art museum, millennium park and quick uber rides around town. Plus, it was only two blocks from the L stop. We really enjoyed ...
My husband & I had tickets for the Blackhawks game Friday night, we decided to stay in the city! The Kinzie Hotel had a super deal to suit our budget! Location is fantastic for shops, restaurants & bars. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, no wait for check-in. We also received four coins ...
I LOVED the 12' ceilings in my room, the tall windows and the views of the lake and some of Chicago's best landmarks! The door knobs were also SO cool and I appreciated that they were kept through the years. The bathroom was nicely renovated with black granite. I couldn't find a thermostat to lower ...
The Whitehall is a gem tucked close to Michigan Avenue. Walking distance from everything, comfortable, reasonably priced, responsive and warm staff, a great representation of Midwest and Chicago hospitality. :) highly recommend!
I flew into Chicago this late December. I was planning to stay in the town for one night before I hopped into the Amtrak to go to Carbondale. It was close (5.5 blocks) to the Union Station. Also close to bus stops. It would be even better if you have some discount coupons on your hand.
The lobby is tiny and the halls made me feel a little claustrophobic. My room was right next to the elevator (so it was very loud). The room was tiny, and I have an enormous bruise on my knee from the wood bed frame that extended beyond the mattress. There were no outlets by the bed so I could charge ...
AC system kept turning on and off. Had to turn it off in order to sleep. Excellent shower but plumbing behind walls was noisy during toilet flush. Nice new carpeting, especially in hallways. Shelves in closet could use a fresh coat of paint. Parking was free with good security lighting, next to highway ...
We loved our stay at the Silversmith Hotel. The staff was kind, the hotel itself and our room was clean and modern, the amenities were wonderful, and we don't have a single bad thing to say about this place. We really appreciated that they were willing to hold our bags after check-out as we had a ...
Nicknamed the Second City, in reality, Chicago is second to none. Known as much for its blues — and blues brothers — as it is for its famous gangsters and deep-dish pizza, Chicago is also a mecca of art, theater, dining, and other culture.
Chicago hotels offer visitors a bit of everything. Accommodations run the gamut from bargain hotels to luxury hotels in Chicago's downtown. Guests spend the day taking in the city's many sights and tours and head to a ballgame at historic Wrigley Field, one of the best in the U.S., or they enjoy one of the many world-class museums and take in some of the first-rate theater in the evening, topping it off with a nightcap and a view of the town at the Hancock tower's Signature Lounge. Navy Pier is a great place for families to keep busy between getting some rest at one of the top Chicago hotels.
Chicago has several locations that attract trade shows from around the country. The Merchandise Mart is one of the more popular venues and is the yearly host of the National Prom Market, the USA's largest business-services trade event.
Food in Chicago: plentiful, diverse, and tasty of, course. Chicago is known for its Italian and Polish food. Lou Malnati's, which has several Chicago locations, is famous for its Chicago-style deep-dish pizza.
Chicago visitors won't want to miss the Art Institute of Chicago and its impressive collection of Asian, modern and American art and much, much more.
Any shopper booking a room in one of the many Chicago hotels shouldn't forget the Magnificent Mile. This section of Michigan Avenue is filled with history, shopping opportunities, and other entertainment to make your trip more than worthwhile.
Chicago has two major-league baseball teams, the Cubs and White Sox, and given the fierce loyalty of each team's fans, it's a good thing their respective parks are located so far apart. NFL fans have the Chicago Bears, while hockey fans root for the Blackhawks, and basketball fans cheer for the Bulls.
Chicago is divided into over 70 different neighborhoods, each with its own distinct feel and flavor. The Downtown Loop, or city center, is the commercial and financial district, and many of the city's cultural institutions are located here as well, including the Magnificent Mile, a shopper's paradise, and Grant Park, where guests can choose to stay at the luxury Talbott Hotel. Travelers seeking one of the less expensive Chicago hotels opt for the Days Inn on the North Side, located right in the middle of the most dense population center of the city and near Lincoln Park.
The South Side is Chicago's largest area and includes many parks and public beaches. Also located here are Jackson Park, site of the 1893 Columbian Exposition, the Museum of Science and Industry (the last remaining building from the Exposition), and U.S. Cellular Field, home of the Chicago White Sox. The West Side is known for its ethnic enclaves and is home to the NBA's Chicago Bulls and the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks. Overall, visitors should try to find Chicago hotels they can use for a base of operations because this vast city and all its sites can't be explored in one day — or even a week.
Cool hotel, right in the loop. Great gym, spacious rooms, extremely quiet. I think it's a old office building, extremely well built and classical
Stayed here for New Year’s Eve, great location close to everything in Times Square. Only thing that was sort of a hassle was having to take two elevetars to and from guest rooms.
Everything met or exceeded our expectations. Very well run hotel at a very reasonable price in a location that was in dire need of high quality room and board. We were very pleased and very impressed with this establishment.
Location was great and staff was helpful in getting our barrings. Although we couldn’t check in early, we were promised a room further away from the bar on the 4th- and they delivered. We were on the top floor and it was quiet. The Bed wa stop soft for me, but the room was super clean and the staff always had our room cleaned when we were out, despite our random schedule. Thank you!!!
