Main beef is there isn't really anywhere to park except the hotel lot....$18 for overnight parking. Otherwise it's in a good location!

This was my daughter and son-in-law's 1st time in Chicago...1st Cubs game. The hotel was very convenient and hospitalable. It is situated on the campus of northwestern university which makes it very safe. The only thing that was a problem was the remote for the tv did not work but other than that nothing to complain about. They even had a snack shop which is great because all the restaurants near the hotel closer before we got back from the game.

Service was very good, room was comfortable, walking distance to many restaurants. A good experience.

Planned a trip to Six Flags & to Chicago & this hotel was centrally located between the two. Also since the L train was a couple of blocks away we were able to make it to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field without the hassle of parking & the crowds! We ended up spending more time in Chicago and appreciated staying out of daily traffic. Hotel was nicely situated among coffee shops and great restaurants within walking distance.

One of the waiters in the restaurant was terrible, very slow. Didn't like the $18 per parking. Satellite TV kept cutting in and out, aggravating. Other than that we had a nice stay.

I wanted to come to Chicago as a part of a book research project. I picked spring break, the 13th thru 19th of March. Of course that was the day it finally decided to snow, but that is another story. On arrival, the hotel lobby was clean and neat. The entry doors were slightly awkward, as one opens on the right, the other set on the left. The place is very well kept and looked great. The staff was friendly on every occasion, and helped with everything I needed. The bartender during my trip was a great individual, helping me get a great idea of the city before my adventures. I was able to use the soothe app to schedule a massage, and they even helped me in that. There was only one waiter or waitress in the restaurant at a time and they weren't too attentive, but being at the bar, it didn't matter. One issue was that in 2 occasions, my keycard stopped working, and I had to go back to the lobby for another. The room was wonderful. Great view of Evanston, great bed (king), tv with premium channels, great desk, safe, even a laundry service. The shower was very nice and got hot instantly. Even the complementary soap was great. The Toilet tissue, however, was in a very awkward location behind. I didn't use the workout room or pool this time, but will when I return for another great stay in august A solid 9.5 out of 10.

I really like the hotel and I'd love recommend to my friends.

Room was clean. Closely located next to the Dempster Purple Line stop. Quiet neighborhood.

The Evanston Holiday Inn features commodious rooms and a front desk staff that extends itself regardless of the hour. The rooms and public areas are pristine. Our only complaint involved parking. In a previous incarnation, the hotel offered self-parking. Now, it offers valet service, charging $18 a day. That price seems excessive for a hotel in Evanston. And the valet service is utterly unnecessary and, frankly, annoying. That's no reflection on the valet drivers -- they were affable. Rather, it reflects the lack of justification for a service that adds time and, presumably, cost. This isn't quite a deal breaker, but, honestly, I would think twice about staying at this property because of the elimination of self-parking.

Good overall hotel. Room service is lacking. Steer clear of it. Otherwise fine

Professional staff in an attractive hotel in downtown Evanston. Very nice, especially for the price.

I stayed 1 night at the hotel. The front desk staff, as with all the other staff, are extremely nice and very helpful ! The room is spacious and clean. They are still working on getting room service but there are a number of restaurants within walking distance. all in all, a pleasant stay!
