There was a riot nearby (across the street) and thugs in front of the hotel the night we stayed 4/15/23. The hotel also had a party on the 26th floor and the clientele was sketchy.
Great experience. The rooms are nice, clean and a little quirky, which we like. Location is close to many attractions, shopping and dining.

Inconceivable how Virgin ranks as a top ten Chicago hotel. The elevators continually smelled like pot, guests were frequently unmasked, there isn’t a lobby— think kiosk for front desk, the train is right outside the building which you can hear from your home, and the cafe served day’s old pastries and mediocre coffee. We’ll never stay there again.
The hotel and rooms are very clean, modern and good-sized. The staff is great.

The room we received was mediocre. The makeup station drawers were full of trash and had one used dirty face mask. The bed itself is comfortable. The rooftop bar was nice. Staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel itself felt dirty or grimy. Not sure if I would stay at this hotel again.
The noise coming from the rooftop was pretty loud in our room (22nd floor). We needed to ask to change our room. Our request was prompted attended.
