Getting basic service was like pulling teeth. After staying for three nights we ran out of towels, needed fresh sheets, and extra blankets. After repeatedly being told that housekeeping would freshen our room and restock our towels, shampoos, etc., nothing happened. Called front desk 5 times, but nothing. When we asked for extra blankets, we were told that they could not provide us with extra blankets until all the guests had checked in and when they knew if they had enough. Extremely frustrating.
Property was nice, but service was poor. Staff were generally unhelpful and uncaring. I stayed 3 nights with my kids. At no time during our stay did we get our room serviced by housekeeping, despite being told we would 5 times! We were told we could not get an extra blanket until all guests arrived and they could see if they have extra. We had to “steal” towels and shampoos from housekeeping’s cart. Really bad and frustrating experience.

Spent the night of June 23 on trip to Carlsbad Caverns. Female staff at front desk disinterested and unhelpful. Hallways hot and dirty with crushed Goldfish on the carpet which were never cleaned up. Trash cans on the outside full and spilling over. Numerous flies in the breakfast area (we ate out)! Cigarette butts everywhere. Room was clean and quiet and pool was nice for the kids. How hard is it to empty trash cans and vacuum the carpets? Cleanliness is the least one expects in a hotel. Probably lackadaisical ownership. Would not stay there again.
