Nice enough, Friendly enough, convenient enough for a long weekend of beach soccer. Similar to all the doo wop throw back beach motels of Wildwood and Wildwood Crest. Across the street from Wildwood Creat park and gazebo, a block from nice beach, and a 1/2 mile from beginning of boardwalk. Pool is nice for young kids, closes a little early on long summer days, but keeps the property quiet. Room was fine for 2, pull out coach could have been 3, and anymore should be small children. Rooms are privately owned and decorated separately as this is motel condominium. Kitchenette sufficient for simple meal. No other food service at Motel.
My family and sisters family just recently stayed at Cara Mara and loved it!!! It is so kid friendly!!!! The pool and BBQ area are cleaned everyday and our condo was very well kept. I know the condos can vary in design and update so with that being said we stayed in 207 and 209 and they were both great rooms! Kitchenettes come with plates, cups and silverware. And there were DVD players in the rooms for when the kids wanted to watch a movie. The beach was relatively close and the boardwalk we drove too. But really they are in a great quiet location!!!
Came here for Father's Day weekend with my family. When I check in they have me a bag with info for food, outdoor activities, water activities and etc. I thought that was very nice to give people who are unfamiliar with Wildwood but I pretty much familiar because I come to Wildwood every year. The food was very clean and well kept. I had a ocean view which was great and you get to look out to see the Wildwood Crest sign. Very close to supermarkets and bike rentals. I have no complaints and I enjoyed my time at the hotel. Can't wait to come back.
We stayed in a two bedroom condo. Individually owned condos on the beach! The pool feels good after a long hot day of fun on the beach. Also, easy access to the Trolly to get to the boardwalk at night. The price is good and I feel safe where I am at! My family will stay at the Cara Mara again!
An excellent weekend despite the heavy rain one day. Appreciate the hospitality from Alex allowing us to check out later and enjoy the nice day on mother's day. Despite what some reviews say about room 414, we actually loved it. Great view. Clean accommodations. Very roomy to accommodate all. We will definitely be staying here again! Thank you Alex!
Spent the weekend here with my family. Was early for check in and they let us change in the bathrooms and hang around at the pool until the room was ready. Room was very nice. Had a nice island feel to it which is great on vacation. really helps to get in the vacay vibe.
It's a nice idea to have a kitchenette with a full fridge. However the room is very uncomfortable. Couch is very uncomfortable to sit. And having only one AC in the bedroom does not regulate temperature well. Freezing while sleeping and a hot in living room. That's not very comfortable and my blanket has blood stains on it. The one positive I will say is very close to a very nice Beach. Not far from all attractions. Good location.
My family and I vacationed at Cara Mara just last week and we rented from Danni. The place was perfect, It was clean and had everything we needed. They even provided beach umbrellas that were stored in the closet, which was a huge plus to be able to borrow them. Our room had a perfect view of the ocean and overlooking the Crest where there were concerts, excercise classes and a place for the kids to play. The air conditioning units were fantastic and we had weather of 95-100 degrees all week and were completely comfortable. The hotel itself we found quiet and the pool was fantastic and we enjoyed playing ping pong as well. I would rate this 10 stars and we will definitly be back. Thaks for everything :)
Revisited - Big disappointment. Room was given to us before ck in - unit was not only missing a lot from kitchen. But a small refrigerator was in the room, my son opened it and STUNK UP THE ENTIRE ROOM! went to tell the front desk = not there. phones weren't working in the room to call had to go down only to fine no one there a few times! stayed here last year different room I remember it being much better BIG ZERO stars for me this year. will be looking elsewhere for next year. Only air conditioning in bedroom does not cool the entire unit! HEATWAVE HELLO!! not doing this again!
This place was just OK. The rooms were clean, albeit small. The "kitchen" was just an oven, toaster, coffee maker, and small sink that you can't make dinner on. The bathroom was clean, and the bedroom was...interesting. There were two beds, which were OK, a nightstand with a clock with outlets, and an air conditioner (also there's a tv and dressers and). That was the only way to keep the whole room cool, so if you're in there with family, and you're up early (like me), you have to leave the door open and have the risk of waking everyone up. It's worse when someone is sleeping on a pull out couch, and you can't wake them up either, so you have to camp out in the bathroom. Now, for the actual campus, it's also OK. There's a ping pong table where you have to go to the office to get equipment (if you didn't bring any, which won't happen unless you're a ping pong enthusiast), but we will get to the office later. The pool was clean and there's nothing much to say about it. Right next to the pool is some small playground with Fischer Price jungle gym things, and a shuffleboard thing which you also need to get from the office. Also there's tricycles and little tykes cars. And grills. There's also a game room, which is literally a few machines and an air hockey table. It's also hard to locate, as there's a sign leading to it, but when you go down the path, it's just a gate that leads to where I think the workers live. (BTW good service). Now for the office, its where you have to get a lot of things to enjoy this place. The wifi password (I could say it), ping pong/shuffleboard equipment, DVDs, and most importantly, brochures. The office also closes at 9pm, so if you get there at 9 or later, you have to sleep in your car. But I didn't have that issue, I got there at 11 and it was someone's condo. You also have to put some doorknob thing on your car. Also, don't get locked out of your room. That happened to me EVERY MORNING. It's also right across the street from Centennial Park and the beach, which is nice, except you have to hear Zumba every morning, even though that applies to all 900 hotels on this street.
