Had a very nice one-night stay at the Grand Laurel. Staff was very nice and helpful. It was nicer than I thought on the inside -- loved the marble floors. Room was big, bed comfy. Very close and convenient to highway and food places.

Staff was nice during check-in. But the rooms were bad and old. Online the rooms looked updated but they are not. The restaurant and bar looked open online but they are closed and not working. I ended up just booking another hotel nearby.

The pool was not in operation; the water park was closed, they didn’t have complimentary or for sale breakfast, the bar/lounge was closed, they only clean your room every two days; unless you ASK for your room to be cleaned AND the parking lot (closest to the trees) was filled with trash/liter. So, if all you need/want is some place to sleep, this is the place for you. ZERO amenities to speak of.

The hotel is very unassuming from looking at the outside. It was shut down for a while and you can tell whoever owns the place is trying. The lobby is very nice and welcoming when you walk in. The room was clean with some updates. The TV system doesn’t have a “hotel” system to watch tv so you have to connect and watch your own streaming service. Overall, it’s not bad. They definitely need some good exposure to continue to grow and improve.

I had another property booked and changed my mind at the last minute and booked this one. I hate that I did that. The room smells horrible the tub had mold. The sheets had blood stains. I had two beds so I just moved to the other bed. I got in to check in sooo late 1:30am. I couldn’t go anywhere else. Do not stay here!!!!

the check in and check out were a breeze. staff very kind and friendly. The facility is older, some of the furninture was worn out and the bath tub was not gleaming... a lot of use probably. The beds were great, firm and not overused. I would definitely recommend if you are ok with a bit of an older facility.
