the place smelled terrible. the gym the laundry and snack vending are all in the same room. the treadmill was cracked the outside had beer bottles and cases all over the ground. there was dog poop outside around the area near the grills. the puctures on the site are totally misleading. i wouldnt recommend sonesta to anyone.
This property was decent for the money but it is definitely a 2 star hotel. The rooms were a little dingey, smelled a little strange, but for the price it was worth it. The front desk ladies are very sweet and made the hotel experience nicer.

Great stay
The parking is convenient if you get there at a reasonable time. Staff is pretty friendly but there were a few times we noticed lines of people waiting to be checked in (not necessarily a bad thing it means people enjoy staying at this property and are will to wait.). It is close to a lot of food and shopping places and the beds are nice. My only complaint is that there was not enough towels and wash clothes in our room, there wasn’t any toiletries and our tv remote didn’t work.

The staff were OK. The room had been recently treated for roach infestation and there were dead roaches all over the room. Some roaches were still alive. I left for another hotel and was given a full refund.
Convenient location off the NJ Turnpike and many restaurants and stores nearby. I didn't like the shower as the pressure was very low (due to half the water coming out the shower faucet and half coming our the shower head). The closed captioning button on the remote control to the TV was not working, and this was something I need to watch/listen to the TV. Most disappointing was the staff at check-in -- seemed fairly grumpy, and I had to wait a while to get some attention to check in despite there being two people working the desk. Overall it was an "okay" stay.

We had added a note that we'd be checking in late when we made the reservation online; however, when we came there (after midnight), there was no one @ the front desk. We called 0 for the front desk, but the phone just kept ringing. Called the hotel customer service line, but was placed on hold for 20 mins. We basically stood outside in below freezing temperature (30 degrees) for 30 mins before a guest just happened to walk down the hall & heard/saw us pounding on the thick glass window. We, then, waited an additional 30 mins @ the front desk area while the customer service rep & general member tried calling the front desk agent. After all this wait time, our 6 year-old autistic child had a meltdown on the hotel lobby floor, because of the long wait. I've never experienced a check-in like this ever before.
My two sons and families were checking into different rooms. One had an infant, the other had small children. The one with the children did not get a room with two beds as reserved and had to go to another hotel. I would have stayed another day, but didn't want to go through the hassle. I understand the hotel was full, but they couldn't register early , and there was a funeral all afternoon that they were attending.
The major fitness pieces, treadmills, stationary bike were not working. We had a plumbing issue, called front desk to report it and request repair while we were out. Got back about 9 pm and it was not fixed. It was a clogger toilet that we had to do ourselves. I had made three different reservations for out of town family attending a funeral. One had a room change which we were notified about. the other so had a child and needed two beds. When he checked in, he was told there were no rooms with two beds. He had to stay at a different hotel. WE HAD RESERVATIONS!!!!!! Not my problem if they overbooked or someone changed their requirement. I was going to stay a fourth night, but went to a red roof inn instead.
The amenities are good and the overall concept is good and things are well organized. The property needs a more maintenance and cleanliness. A little TLC would go a long way to improve the experience
Wouldn't be back to this hotel especially with many other options in the same area.
