My wife and I usually have pleasant things to say about every Hampton Inn we’ve stayed at. However, our stay at this particular one will permanently alter our future thoughts and slightly ruined Hampton inn’s reputation for us. Breakfast is now only a grab and go bag with a bottle of water and a bagel, and there is no coffee available in the lobby, something that was different from a HI we stayed at a week before in NY. The room was dirty, with dust all over the bathroom door giving my wife allergies. The room was not vacuumed well. The walls are paper thin and we were able to hear the complete conversation of the family in the room next to us. Logistically, the hotel is difficult to arrive at from the highway. You need to take a quick left on the off ramp or else you’ll be navigating the whole neighborhood trying to find a way to get to the parking lot. It is about 25 minutes from Salem, (if that’s why you’re visiting) which I realized is almost about as far as Revere or North Boston so you’d probably be better off getting a hotel somewhere around there.

The hotel is very nice and clean. I was not crazy about the location, a lot of traffic and the hotel was not the easiest to get to from Salem.

Pool was closed and the jacuzzi plus not serving breakfast yet we didn't get housekeeping either other than that room was comfortable sheets felt like silk we slept really good not a lot of channels on TV

The interior lock for my bedroom was broken, the bathroom door would not lock, and I found ticks in my bedroom. Photos are provided on Yelp!

Clean modern hotel, very friendly and helpful staff . Good location

No fan or vent in the bathroom. So after a few days the room smelled musty. Alot of chemicals used, so its sanitized, but smell is overbearing. Staff used febreeze in elevator. Rug should be in elevator because of pool.

Very clean. Easy checkin, nice beds, would stay again if in the area.

Everything was fine, but they were going through some remodels of the common area. We did not sleep well, couldn't decide if it was the mattress or just us, though the mattress itself seemed good.

Enjoyed my stay. Really helpful staff and knowledgeable. Would stay again or recommend to friends.

My experience was excellent with 1 exception. I came back to hotel 1 evening about midnight and the entrance doors were locked. I used my room key to gain entrance. I took about 10 steps into the lobby area and turned to see that entrance doors were still in the open position. The doors then closed and coming through the back patio doors was a man and he asked me "what was looking around for" I told him the doors hesitated to close was the reason. He told me I should go to my room! I told him to mind his own business as I was a guest in this hotel. I then noticed he had a name tag on his jacket on it was written "Alphonso night auditor"..I then told him I thought he was rude and should not be speaking to guests so insultingly. I reported him when checking out but am sure nothing will be done.The front desk was ambivalent when I stated what had happened.

The staff was friendly, courteous and very helpful.

Upon entering my room, the inside door handle came off. I brought handle to front desk, clerk stated she would be right up to fix door. Never came up. Called down at 11 p.m. because I could not get out of room. For 5 minutes no one answered then she yelled at me because I couldn't get out.

Staff was very clean and helpful. Received complimentary breakfast with our stay which was very good.

On a weekend in Peabody for a wedding, the wife and I stayed at the Hampton Inn. It was clean and perfectly satisfactory. The cookies at check in were delicious. Navigating the highway in front of the hotel was irritating. Other than those things nothing was fabulous or horrible. Perfectly satisfactory.
