The staff was amazing , very accommodating and helpful. They carried a heavy level of professionalism & courtesy. The room was everything I seen in the pictures plus more. Comfortable , clean & well equipped for a great stay. I will be taking many more trips to gaithersburg and will always stay here. The prime location and easy access was also a plus for me. They want 50 characters and won't let me stop till I do so , I guess I'll keep typing till they say its enough. Still not enough , amazing hotel though. .........omg will it end this is gettting annoying , I'm trying to give a great brief review of my stay that's all . I recommend the hotel. I don't know what else to say. What more do y'all want. Oh sams club is across the street, but do not eat at the Buffalo Wild Wings , CVS up the road is 24 hours which comes in handy when you arrive late but need a few things . Sams club should extend theirs hours, closing at 8:30 is not normal for a store that big

We had a Chinese tour bus tour that started at this location. Hotel was clean and nice. A bit pricy for the location.

SUCH AN AWESOME PLACE TO STAY. WI WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE VISITING GAITHERSBURG MARYLAND AREA TO STAY.

Sticky spot on the carpet. Hair dryer had lots of hair and some slimy substance all over it. Toilet did not flush everything - took many times to get rid of #2. Coffee maker had only one regular and one decaf - does this make sense for a double? Bacon on breakfast buffet was strange - opted for the greasy sausage instead. And this morning the Internet password changed for no apparent reason. On the bright side, the staff was friendly and the AC worked great. Room was quiet. Bed was reasonable.

It was all bad from the start and the "recovery" was even more disappointing!! I had no air conditioning so I called front desk and they sent up maintainence. He fumbled around with thermostat but to no avail... Then he opened up ceiling compartment in bathroom and started vacuuming out water in A/C drainage pan -- a gallon of nasty water came down from ceiling all over my toiletries and the floor -- He then took my towels and started to wipe up and said it would be fine. Then the manager came to my room with a "ree buffet breakfast coupon to make "it right". Oh my God! I'm a "very" frequent flyer and business traveler... Straying in hotels 30 weeks per year and this was the first and last time I'll stay at holiday inn.

Just need a place for overnight, so didn't do much more than sleep. The front desk receptionist, Cira, was very nice and helpful. Gave us a map and information about nearby food/shopping area on a lake. If you are allergy sensitive, note that this hotel uses bath and body works products that are very strongly scented, so bring your own or check with the front desk to see if they have alternatives. No complaints, would stay here again.

The location was Great!!!! The room was average. The bathroom was horrible. The toilet barely flushed. The sink drained slowly. The bathroom wasn't cleaned all that well. I didn't expect perfection but at least cleanliness.

The staff was great and made us feel welcome after a long car ride with two quesy kids. The kids liked their welcome bags with some goodies. The kids ate free at the breakfast buffet which was nice. We will definitely come back. The location is very close to our relatives' house. They also loved the gift shop.

Lovely relaxing getaway, after a long day about. Enjoyed every minute.

The hotel was very nice for what I paid for. I was staying for a convention at another hotel around the corner, but I was happy in the end choosing the Holiday Inn. The room I got was a corner room, and was enormous. Tons of room for just myself. The pub down on the first floor had some pretty good food, and was very accommodating about staying late for some of the playoff games going on at the time. The breakfast buffet up at the main restaurant was pretty good, too. The traffic pattern around the hotel was the only really bad part, as it was a bit confusing. Heading on Montgomery Village Road toward the freeway, you can not make a left turn, which is annoying if you're trying to head in the direction of Rockville.

I have stayed here for work a couple of times. Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Nice pub/restaurant down stairs. This most recent stay was OK. I stayed on the 5th floor and the ice machine didn't work. Went to 4 th floor and that did not work either. 6th floor ice machine did work but I shouldn't have to go to 2 different floors to find some. I also ordered room service and had to call them back when I went to eat and noticed they didn't bring any silverware.

The hotel itself was pretty standard. The front desk service was a little slow. One of the more bizarre experiences was in their convenience store. They had food for individual sale, that was clearly not for individual sale (like open boxes of poptarts, crackers, etc). I purchased a muffin sold this way, and it was open. Kinda odd for a major hotel chain. There are so many choices in the area, I would likely not stay there again.

The hotel was very conveniently located and the staff was great !!

Stacking a microwave on a mini fridge is so tacky. Had that been the only detractor, it would have been average. However, the exhaust fan in the bathroom did not function and the room air unit was faulty. In fact, the room air unit shocked me! Ouch. The shining stars at the hotel are the attentive staff.

The desk clerk was knowledgable of the area. The room was clean and the bed comfortable

The hotel struggled to survive the major Jan'11 snowstorm-- elevators out, parking a mess, private functions in restaurant continued despite glut of stranded travelers. Not a pretty sight; more like a surivor camp with room service (if then). But give'em a break; they tried to accommodate during a huge mess.

Everything was great except I had requested a microwave to be in the room upon my arrival and was not there. It took them about an hour to fulfill my request after calling the front desk due to them only having one person working in that department at that time. I would still recommend this hotel to friends and family due to how nice and clean the hotel room was.

Used the hotel as a base from which to visit several Family members in the area. Washington DC prices are high compared to Texas but the restarants were good.

The shuttle to the Metro station is handy. But they only come every half hour. So on a cold day, it could feel like a long wait. Our room was relatively quiet until the girls soccer teams arrive for the weekend. We also had a dripping water leak right over the toilet. So you needed your umbrella if you had to go. The pool and fitness center was nice to have.
