We were greeted kindly at the front desk and I was informed that the free breakfast would only be grab and go. Then, we went up to our room a bit bummed about it, only to find that the kitchen resembled that of Rocky's in the first movie. It was frightening. I tried to shower. They had no conditioner and the front desk had none. The bed looked like a 1970s set piece (old brown, thin). There were about 10 channels on the TV. The living room furniture was old and uncomfortable. I can't imagine making a human sleep on the sleeper sofa. I tried to check out early as I didn't exactly feel safe (people hanging out in the parking lot at all hours, etc) but there was no one at the front desk to do so. I will NEVER go back. I figured Extended Stay had a baseline of quality since I have been to others and been happy. This place was VILE. NEVER AGAIN
I stayed there this past Friday, October 27th 2017. I was up on the third floor by the elevator. When I first came in I spoke to the assistant General manager oh, and he was very sweet and very understanding of my situation. I had to come from Richmond Virginia at 7 in the morning and ask for an early check-in. And they allowed me and have an early check-in and didn't give me a hassle. The assistant general manager, James, call me an hour after I settled in into my hotel room to make sure I was doing okay and I asked him to bring me three pillows what you did. I was very worried about this hotel because of the reviews online. But I was informed that management is new oh, they had new management take over three months ago. I would recommend this hotel and it is very homey is very clean, the people are very sweet. The bed is very comfortable, I just over all enjoyed my stay for that one night. When I come back up to Gaithersburg I will be booking for this hotel again.
The hotel smells awful. The walls and ceilings are paper thin. Our room smelled like rotten broccoli. No bedding for the pull out bed unless requested. No pillows even after a request. "Breakfast" is a joke.
If you are happy with a clean and quiet room, in a hotel with a friendly staff, but not a full service hotel, this is the place for you. The price for the Washington, D.C. area is most reasonable. The coffee is good in the morning, but don't expect much more than a muffin or a granola bar. The strong point of this brand isn't food, but a lower cost, clean and quite room,
Staff is very unfriendly and incompetent. Rooms are disgusting. You can smell weed when walking through the hallway. Not in a safe area. Staff does not care about their customers. I had to clean the room for over 3 hours and then they ended up switching our rooms and I had to start all over again with cleaning.
Disappointing to say the least. Pot smoking on second floor daily. Rooms disaster at check-in. Had to be reassigned a room because of the condition and it hadn't been cleaned. Bed linen not changed. No housekeeping any of the 6 days we were there. The list could go on, but I don't have time to write a book.
Clean rooms, comfortable beds, and dependable room features (frig/stove/microwave/tv/wifi) for a reasonable price compared to other hotels in the DC metro area. The staff was courteous and friendly during my most recent stay...made me feel right at home!
Rooms and hallways smelled musty. No shower curtain. Outlets in bathroom didn't work. Front desk poorly attended. We were literally there only 7 hours to get some sleep and break up a long drive. Don't do it ):
The room and bathroom are really clean and the air conditioner was almost brand new which styed pretty quiet. Also, There is a 24hr 7-Eleven store right in front of the hotel. I will definitely come back again!
would stay again room very comfortable and close to large selection of restaurants, very refreshed from sleep bed really comfortable, easy to find, parking easy, service excellent, room large and clean my grandson even liked it
