Management and staff agreed that the room wasn't up to Extended Stay America standards. Said they would correct the problem but did nothing during my stay to fix the issue. Customer Service agreed to refund but the property manager told Orbitz he would not. I finally got refunded and the property manager blacklisted me from returning after he thought I left a positive review about this stay. The staff doesn't know anything about hospitality or customer satisfaction. I'm not a hard person to please but do expect a clean and functioning room to relax in and they can not accommodate. Forget asking for anything extra they will refuse and tell you they will get into trouble. Safty codes aren't follwed here, many of the emergency lights on the property are broken and wouldn't work during an emergency. This hotel needs a complete new staff. Rarely is there someone at the front desk. If you try calling the phone rings off the hook only to be hung up on. Never have I been told I did nothing wrong, property wasn't up to standards, and staff didnt follow protocol only to be blacklisted from returning. Beware, this property wants your money but doesn't care about you. Management operates this hotel as an apartment complex not a hotel. Managers and maintenance do not work over the weekend. For a $3k apartment it runs poorly. As a platinum Orbitz member I stay in many hotels and this one should no longer be listed on Orbitz.

What to say....beginning with the room. It was dirty and really not what I expected from the pictures. There was hair on the bathroom floor, stains all over the barely vacuumed carpet, most of the lamps didn't have bulbs in them and overall was extremely dingy looking. I chose to stay at this hotel on this particular trip that I take on a bi-weekly basis because it had a "fully stocked kitchen." The kitchen is empty. You have to order your kitchen package. I then had to lug it all up to my room myself. And they saw me holding my 10 month old. How they expected me to carry everything, I don't know. But no assistance was offered. That brings me to the customer service. It wasn't great. The front desk is unattended a lot and the employees seem less than thrilled when you approach. The noise was a problem. Barking dog two doors down every day for each of my 3 day stay and odd banging coming from somewhere every night. My daughter didn't sleep well the entire stay. When I asked for sheets, pillows and a blanket for the pull out bed, I was told they had no more blankets. Luckily I had onein my car for my daughter to use. We will not be staying there again. I've had much better stays in what I would perceiveto be lower class hotels in the area.

Nothing stands out as above/below average. If you want a basic stay with a convenient location, it's worth considering

The entire hotel, from the ground up, reeks of smoke. I was placed in a non-smoking room in a non-smoking hallway, and after departing the hotel, 2 days later, everything still reeks of smoke. This is the hotel's major problem, but otherwise it is OK. The faciliities are basic, not as nice as other Extended Stays. Disappointing.

Since I booked the day before I thought I was getting a good deal for a one night stay in an extended stay hotel, but I got what I paid for. A bit disappointed with cleanliness, hallway smelled bad. Room was overly hot on arrival and bathroom floor a bit sticky in the humidity. No complimentary shampoo. Attention to detail lacking.

The hotel was great for what we needed. I loved that it had a kitchen that we could cook at. There wasn't much dishes/pots etc. Our DVD player didn't work. Overall, it was clean.

Extended Stay Deluxe in Gaithersburg, MD was comfortable. The room was large, clean, kitchen area was nice. The in-room kitchen and living area, along with a hotel laundry and exercise room, make this a perfect place for business travel. The price is great for the area. The staff is very friendly and management is willing to work with you on pricing for longer stays.
