Shilo Inn Suites Hotel - Bend

The location of the property is convenient to Bend and surrounding area and also located on the river which is nice. However, the rooms need updating and we were disappointed with the overall quality of the rooms. We were told the head housekeeper had retired unexpectedly and so were held off for two hours for check in. The breakfast included was also very low quality. A poorly put together buffet held in a dark back banquet room. No fresh fruit, yogurt etc compared to similar offerings by competitors. We skipped it on the second day.

Reservation was not available when we arrived. After a prolonged argument was given our rooms but we were double charged.

I stayed in building 500 and I was blown away by the view out the back sliding door! There were even two geese and three goslings there to greet me upon arrival! Nice place and comfy beds!

The pool was great, the was room clean and the price was right .

I've been staying at this Shilo for years . One of the things I always liked was the breakfast, they made some changes and I think it was for the worse. Other than that ,we saw a pair of otters playing from our room, the kids loved it.

We had a fireplace in our room. The hot tub, pool, and sauna were great. The restaurant was very good. We had fresh and delicious catfish and oysters. Would definitely go there again.

We chose this hotel because it had so many amenities for the money. The room had a fireplace and view of the Deschutes river. The room was so lovely and comfortable we did not want to leave. Comfortable bed, no horrendous sprays used to cover smells and a wonderful staff. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will probably always look to book Shilo Inn for any future stays if they are available. Btw the woman working the lobby the night we checked in was the kindest employee we have encountered, a true gem for the company.

We booked the jacuzzi room with river view. Comfortable bed, jacuzzi was great, river view for morning coffee was all 5 stars. The shower curtain had mold and hair all over it or it would have scored better.

The hotel room floor was filthy and looked un vacuumed. There were used ear plugs on the carpet as well. The bathroom floor was dirty and black in the corners. Tub was also discolored and looked dirty. Room service was pricey but fast and good. Staff was very nice.

Huge room, with hot breakfast included. Only 10 minutes from Old Mill District which is nice. Friendly staff and clean room, great hotel!

Quiet, lovely river view. Two swimming pools, one indoor and the other is an outdoor pool. Durning our stay there were wild ducks and geese on the river.

At one time this was a five star hotel. There is evidence that it has sadly been neglected. Some major renovation and updating is in order before I will stay here again

When checking in a noticed a lady at the desk helping man check in. She was giving him directions how to go to his room. She spoke very fast and I couldn't even understand what she told him. When she asked him if he u detention he said well no not really you spoke so fast. Her reply was well, that's my job. If you have any questions please just call. That I thought was rude and in called for. Her job is to make sure that customer gets to their room safely.

Beds are a little old but other than that I loved it here! It was clean, people were friendly, and the breakfast was great.

Very nice hotel stay with large rooms and beautiful setting

The staff and service was quick and friendly. Wasn't afraid to go above and beyond there job titles to make my trip more comfortable. The rooms were spacious (a little out dated) but overall pleasant. Will stay again next time I'm in bend!!!

Nice room. needs more lighting. Pool and spa were terrific. Breakfast was the most varied anywhere we have been.

I am a business traveler and I'm pretty laid back with hotel stays. But I have some basic needs: comfortable bed, secure/security, solid wifi, clean rooms. The Wi-Fi here sucked morning and night. I had to drive to the nearby 24 hour Shari's to get wifi and work one evening. Either the internet was slow or it didn't work. I would be online for a minute or 10 and it would log me off. The maintenance people restarted the router a few times - it either didn't work. Or another time it did work. When it didn't work, I was told by the maintenance person his phone had 5 bars. I would then tell the maintenance person my phone and my laptop didn't work. Front desk person either told me they have the strongest wifi so they don't know what's going on/why I have a problem. And when I checked out the front desk person apologized saying they've had wifi problems all week. So in short who knows if they really believed in having a problem. To make matters worse - when I checked in, the person in front of me was setup with a room they soon found out was already taken by another person. Thinking this was an isolated incident I didn't take this issue very seriously. Until the next morning - someone walked into my room in the morning thankfully before I was to start taking a shower....this gentleman was checking in and someone in the front desk assigned my room to him. Due to these two issues I have no plans on staying at this location again.

Room was big and clean. It's a little out dated and the bed was not super comfortable. Overall it was good.

SUPER friendly staff and huge rooms with a resort feel. Rooms are like a 70's museum, but clean. Definitely a good value with complimentary breakfast!
