Very friendly and welcoming staff, clean room and communal spaces. Great location and walkable to downtown Ashland. My only feedback was the bed was not as comfortable for my sciatica issues. I would definitely stay again though!

Poorly maintained and breakfast terrible

Good: beds and bath clean, bedding was comfy, walkable, parking, good coffee, AC, air filter in room a plus Bad: mattress was not great, pool was unusable due to strong chlorine smell that caused headache upon entry, fan not working in bathroom, floor was filthy (huge visible dirt in corners and main area left feet black in minutes), finish on desk coming off stuck to everything, breakfast options limited to oatmeal yogurt a couple cereals and bread - nothing appealing for a kid or someone on a low carb diet and server was friendly but seemed to be pushing local restaurants out of an awareness the breakfast was not much (she said they were trying to keep it healthy but I’m eating low carb and there was nothing). Wont stay again - would be better to pay for uber vs paying for breakfast and missing out on using the pool. Also property is only walkable if you can handle steep hills. Cleanliness was poor and I suspect pool was not well maintained it shouldn’t smell that strong.

Staff on check in were super helpful and very nice. Hotel was clean, they offered breakfast, had laundry (very helpful since we had been traveling awhile), walkable and very close to downtown shops, restaurants. Would definitely come stay again

The room was fairly clean, with basic amenities. WiFi was spotty and the TV went out several times during our stay. Breakfast didn't include any protein that was not dairy-based which was challenging for our family, but it was a friendly atmosphere in the morning! The fan in the bathroom was broken, mattresses were very uncomfortable, and the hot tub and pool were lacking cleanliness and covered in algae, which was off-putting, but the staff were friendly, the price was pretty reasonable, and we were glad to have a safe, fairly clean place to stay during our short stay.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel walking distance to downtown Ashland and this fit the bill perfectly. Though we didn’t use, handy to have a washer/dryer for guest use. We opted for breakfast a few minutes walk away at Noble coffee (highly recommend). It was nice to have Safeway across the street for snacks and sundries.

Well maintained hotel

Older well maintained hotel. We had a street side room and saw three deer close to our window. Ashland is a cute city and we will come back someday.

Second time we have stayed at Stratford Inn. Clean and roomy, double queen. Decent breakfast. Pool a bit too chlorinated. Close to downtown... easy walk to theatres and restaurants. Attention's be staff.

Great location. Easy walking distance to everything you want to see in Ashland. Clean, super friendly and helpful staff. Pet friendly. For me, the beds and pillows are a little hard and stiff, but I prefer soft and cozy. I would definitely stay here again. Really enjoyed it.
