Beautiful looking hotel in a centralized downtown location. Very nice looking room, pool and gym. Very bad customer service. Housekeeping never cleaned our room, took out our trash, replaced towels or provided toilet paper after we ran out. We called the front desk to request room service, clean glasses and toilet paper. We went out for the day and upon returning to our room it was the same. No housekeeping responded to our room. My wife walked down to the front desk to speak to a manager. She waited for 20 minutes and the manager never contacted her. She advised the front desk we needed room service, needed clean glasses and toilet paper. We went out and upon returning there were clean glasses and 1 roll of toilet paper left on the counter by the tv. Housekeeping didn’t even place the toilet paper on the roll for us. My brother also stayed at the same hotel. Their room smelled like moldy. We have always stayed at Marriotts which have been great. We decided to try Hilton. Never will we ever stay at a Hilton again.

Excellent service. Highly recommended. Great rates for outstanding service.

The pool and roof top were quite nice. The service staff was undertrained and overwhelmed.

Unique hotel that captures the vibe of the city. Close to the waterfront

Very clean. Concierge was incredibly helpful. Spacious rooms with comfy beds!

Very nice hotel, terrible service checking in, had convenient valet parking, easy to walk to restaurants.

Pros: Nice location, decent sized room Cons: Bathroom was not clean - sink had mold in it. The light in the bathroom is motion activated and stays on FOREVER - had to call front desk about several issues so i brought this up and was told to hang a towel over it. Nice. I forgot my phone charger so asked front if they had one i could borrow. Front desk said they would check and send someone up. Never heard from anyone again. Without my phone for entertainment i watched TV. The channel guide was wrong. I don't mean the channel i wanted to watch was wrong, i mean EVERY channel was wrong. I checked. I called the front. Hmmm... we don't know what you mean or how to fix it. I finally discerned that the guide was off by 1 or 1 1/2 hours so at 10 p.m. the displayed programming was that which you would have seen on the channel guide at either 9 or 830 PM. That's crazy making. My room was loud. Granted i was by the elevators but I could hear everyone going to/ from said elevators. Not restful Having said all of this, i would go back. With lysol, a light covering towel, and my phone charger because of the location and price. If it were priced any higher i would decamp to one of the other local hotels that have proven more tried and true (love the Hotel Monaco)

Justin the valet was really nice and helpful. Seth the overnight valet made me stay an extra day. After a week at the porter, I will always make it my go to hotel

We were surprised and thrilled to land in this top-notch hotel for an affordable price just around the corner from Keller Auditorium. This place is beautiful! The staff are all attentive and treat you like you paid hundreds of dollars a night for the room. The restaurant on the roof looks like a fun place to hang out, especially if a person drinks wine. The pool, hot tub, steam room, and sauna were very clean and comfortable.

Tremendous value, great location. Everyone was so friendly as well. We would definitely go back!

Very nice hotel located near the metro line and not too far from the shopping district.

Great location, delicious restaurant and rooftop bar

First time in Portland. Nice and convenient location!

Really beautiful Hotel in a quiet part of downtown Portland! The staff and house keeping were so friendly!!!!

We stayed here for husband’s birthday, and it was perfect! We had a small party on the gorgeous roof top patio with delicious drinks and food!

It was nice but a bit too formal for me. It was clean and well kept, the people were friendly and helpful.

I am so sorry you did not feel welcomed by our staff. This is unacceptable at the Porter. We understand that your experience with us starts with us welcoming you and continues with bonds we make with our guests. We will work harder at this and make sure to let everyone know that sentiments like the ones you have are exactly what we do not want to portray. Thank you so much for your feedback. I will be sure to pass it on. If you decide to give us another chance, we would look forward to winning you over. Have a wonderful day!
