I traveled to Denham Springs for both business and pleasure. There were meetings and a wedding to attend. Denham Springs suffered a flood in recent months and the Comfort Suites first floor was still being renovated. This caused the hot breakfast bar to be closed but that didn't really affect me. I enjoyed coffee in my King Suite. The room was great with a full size sofa and coffee table along with a desk that had adequate plugs for electronics along with a comfortable chair. The bed was firm but not too much and with a good selection of pillows to choose from. I only had two minor complaints. The bathroom door needed adjusting so it would stay open and the air worked so well that an extra blanket in the closet would have been appreciated. I prefer a cool room but choose to have extra bed covers. The coffee bar, fridge and microwave were convenient in the room. When I couldn't locate the ice machine, housekeeping staff was kind enough to get it for me. The room was great and reasonably priced. A bonus is the convenience of Starbucks in walking distance, a seafood restaurant across the street and other shopping nearby.

Comfort suites in Denham Springs is clean and they have a friendly staff. They have a nice clean outdoor pool and are located near the Basspro. I have stayed with them many times in the past and will continue to use them when I'm in the area.

We spent a lot of time researching hotels on a trip to Florida for a 3 family road trip. The primary criteria was a hot breakfast. The Comfort Inn Denham Springs, LA advertises a hot breakfast on their website. In the lobby area, it is setup with warmer trays and buffet equipment. There is a placard in the elevator that mentions there is no hot breakfast; upon further investigation it was due to a flood..8 MONTHS AGO. It was not mentioned at check-in that there is a brown bag breakfast, which included a granola bar, apple and a bottle of water. During our 1 night stay, we asked the front desk to speak to a manager. We we told she would be available in the morning. We ask again around 8:00 a.m. the next morning for a manager. We were told she would be in after 9:00 a.m. We ask again around 10:30 a.m., and we were told the manager probably went to church and wouldn't be until after 12:00 p.m. Tired of the run around. We requested a number to corporate to to speak to someone, the clerk refused to provide any information. I sternly told the clerk that was an unacceptable response, and demand that we speak to someone regard compensation for not having a hot breakfast, and not being informed that it wasn't available until AFTER check-in. The clerk said I was irate and she was going to call the police. I welcomed her to do so and waited for her to call. The police came, and we had a good conversation with them regarding what had taken place. The police officer was nice enough to look up on his phone the number for Comfort Inn corporate and provide it to us.

We stopped overnight on our way home from Florida. The hotel is undergoing renovations to the first floor due to flood damage. This was a surprise when we checked in, but not the real problem. One of our beds had a wet mattress and we had to switch rooms. The second room was clean and no problems with the beds, other than the mattress on the pull out sofa was pretty worn out and looks like it is due for replacement. When we checked in, we were told that there would not be a hot breakfast due to the repairs, but that there would be a to go breakfast and cereal and pastries. We thought that would be okay and didn't worry about it too much. When we went to breakfast, there was a pot of coffee, 5 small boxes of cereal and two packages of plain instant oatmeal. No pasties, no milk, no hot water to make the oatmeal, no yogurt or fruit--we ended up just leaving and getting breakfast elsewhere. I cannot recommend staying at this hotel unless they improve their cleanliness and offer a better solution for the breakfast.

When we arrived there was no breakfast due to the recertification for the new construction for the flood. Understandable, but a notice on the hotel website would be very helpful. Also, when we arrived they told us there was no Pack N Play available. When we checked in after 8pm, they said they attempted to call 2 hours prior, but we were on the road since 5:30 that morning coming from Iowa and I had stated on the reservation that one would be needed. The reservation was made March 10th and we were not scheduled to arrive till April 22nd. In all that time no effort was made to inform us of the issues at that hotel. Wednesday, the room was serviced when the “do not disturb sign” was up on the door. This creates privacy concerns for us. We always thought this was a way to let them know we didn’t want the room serviced. We have a 3 year old & 1 year old, which we noted on the reservation. Our children like to eat Cheetos. As many young children are, they were rather messy with the Cheetos. When we went to the front desk Thursday morning to ask to have the room vacuumed, we were told that if the Cheetos could not come out of the carpet & sheets that we would be assessed an additional fee of $100 or more. Having the hotel pool outside is understandable in this region of the US, but also having the smoking area in the same place submits our children to second hand smoke and is not a very thought out way to deal with smokers.

The motel is conveniently located near shopping and restaurants. The staff were all friendly. The room was both clean and comfortable. The motel was being renovated after the 2016 floods, so they could not serve breakfast or coffee, but this was only a slight inconvenience.

My family was displaced for the flood that happened in and around our town. We lost everything!! The employees have went beyond expectations to make us feel some what at home. We don't have a lot of options left in our town. And many friends and family have lost their homes as well. We are so thankful for the great hospitality that every employee here has given us. The housekeeping staff has been so patient with us living here as we have crowded our small living area. They continue to work and greet us with a genuine smile. The front desk and management have always assisted us with any questions we needed answers to about nearly anything. They are always ready to assist in any way that they possibly can. We all suffered from this great flood. Our family is so grateful that after several hotels kicked us out to fulfill out of town reservations, this hotel did not. Thank you for caring for your community.

Staying here after, The Great Flood of 2016. Worst time of my life. Staff is rude and searches our rooms for towels. Only two towels per room allowed and must be checked in and out. Not sure why their corporate office didn't send more towels because everyone is currently living here. Management has been no help and I've also witness the workers all participating in parties and drinking late at night. I watched one nasty worker chase a girl, yelling "I'm calling the police, you stole towels" This place should be shut down. Do not come here. We're only here because we have to be. They will never get my money again. We have lost everything and now have been violated by searches from these workers.

All of the workers PARTY all hours of the night, when I asked for a manager....the manager was amongst the drunks screaming and partying until after 4 in the morning. THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE. the fact that everyone that is currently staying in this hotel is because everyone has lost their homes. While trying to work and repair home customers are subjected to random searches, loud parties and disrespected all by YOUR employees....THIS IS SO DISRESPECTFUL. SHAME ON YOU!

This was our first visit to a Comfort Suites. We were very satisfied. Clean, nice breakfast, and friendly staff all at a great price! Breakfast offered a variety of items:hit and cold foods along with healthy choices. Highly recommend staying here.
