I stay here every month when in town on business. Rachel, the front desk clerk, always greets me by name as I walk in the door. She is always pleasant! Ms. Debra usually comes in early on the weekends that she knows that my group will be staying at the Hotel and prepares the morning breakfast early, as we have to be at work before the breakfast is usually offered. She is incredible... She always tries to send us out the door with additional snacks and bottled water to ensure we leave happy. This has truly become my home away from home!
Finally a hotel that will put out quick breakfast AND coffee to grab early! As a business traveler who is constantly out the door before regular breakfast hours this was a huge help!!! Front desk was extremely helpful, especially when my plans ended up changing at the last minute.
Enjoyed the handicap accessible shower. I greatly appreciated the effort that management put in to accommodate their customers. Check in and check out went very smoothly. Would definitely stay here again!
I have stayed at MANY Holiday Inn Express Hotels but this one did not measure up to an acceptable standard. To begin with, the bed had a strong pet odor. Obviously the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly. However, at check in we were assured that each room is deep cleaned after a pet stays in the room. Also, I constantly scratched throughout the night as something was biting me. My friend has a red welt on her side where something bit her as well. Also during check in, a couple other guests came downstairs and complained about soiled sheets on their beds. In addition, the electrical outlet near the nightstand was broken and had thick black dust on it. The shower head was installed so close to the ceiling that I had to stand on the side of the tub to adjust it. Most of the chairs in the dining area were stained. The only positive thing I can say is the breakfast was good and the kitchen staff was extremely nice. However, I will never stay at this hotel again.
I have stayed at this location multiple times, and it is always a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating, the rooms and hotel itself are exceptionally clean, and the breakfast is delicious! Their employee, Rachel, is a true asset to their company. She always goes above and beyond, and we look forward to seeing her on our next visit.
The staff beginning with Rachel who checked me and and the lovely ladies the next day who checked me out and cooked an amazing breakfast we absolutely incredible!! All very sweet, kind, and helpful. The hotel itself was very clean and it made me feel like I made a very wise choice by staying here. The breakfast was seriously one of the best I have ever had staying at a hotel and definitely the best of my HollidayInn stays. Wonderful variety and well as hot good and clean area. The dining area was very nice as well. My room was wonderful! It was clean and smelled nice and couldn't wait to jump in bed and get some rest. The pillows were AMAZING!!! I had to force myself out of bed the next day. All in all wonderful experience and is on my list to stay again when I am in the area! Thank you guys for an amazing stay!
I have stayed at this location a few times in the past while working at Barksdale AFB. I like this location since it is one of the better HIE hotels in the area and is close to the base. This has always been a good location to stay. Denise at the front desk is exceptional. What a neat lady. Where she gets her energy from is beyond me. Her commitment to the customer and to customer service is second to none. This is the type of person that you want to have working at your hotel. What an amazing lady. My housekeeping High 5 goes to Brittany M. Her commitment to the customer and her honestly is hard to find. Another very neat lady. I think that management could do a better job in following up on customer issues and making us feel that the issue(s) are not just dropped. Also, when they make a commitment to something, follow through. Not a bad stay at all. I would certainly recommend this location to others traveling in the area. They certainly have a few employees that stand out and make for a long business trip a bit more enjoyable.
Nothing more frustrating than making a reservation for a two bed, handicapped accessible room four months in advance, then arriving after a long day of driving and the room being unavailable. The manager, Rachel, was able to offer us another handicapped accessible suite (one bed with a sofa bed) which would make do, since we were only staying one night. The room was located on the front side of the hotel and was very quiet. The king size bed was firm and comfortable. The sitting area of the room lacked any kind of lighting making it nearly impossible to read. The roll in shower was well designed. Unlike many roll in showers, it was made so that very little water escaped the shower area. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked with usual breakfast fair; muffins, fruit, cereals, instant oats, pancakes, eggs with cheese omelets, sausage patties, biscuits, sausage gravy and yogurt. It was all tasty. While the reservation was not correct, due to excellent shower accommodations, we would most definitely stay here again.
Stayed in room 110 and at the very best could only get lukewarm water in the shower. Hot water did work in the bathroom faucet. I was told when checking out that I didn't know how to operate the faucet and they would show me how. In the past year I have stayed in more than 100 hotel rooms and have managed to operate the most problematic plumbing systems. Checking in person was very nice as was the breakfast attendant who kept everything clean and restocked.
While this is a bit East of Shreveport and the main Casino area, it is only moments away. Easy access from I-20 & I-220 on East Texas, US80. Right next to the Casino that is in the Horse track. Clean and friendly staff.
