When you fly out of San Francisco, you can choose from two long-term parking options. The domestic parking garage offers long-term parking for $36 per day. The long-term garage offers parking for $18 per day. Bay Area Rapid Transit, known as BART, runs from downtown San Francisco to the SFO BART Station in the international terminal. You can take BART to the airport for between $7 and $8.50, depending on what part of San Francisco you're coming from. You can also take a taxicab to the airport for approximately $37.

Flights from San Francisco arrive at the McCarran International Airport, 5 miles south of downtown Las Vegas. You can get from the airport into the city via bus, taxicab or rental car. Bus stops are located on Level Zero of Terminal 1. Bus tickets cost $2 per person. Taxicabs line up outside the terminal doors. Cabs run on meters, and there is a $1.80 airport surcharge added to your final total. If you want your own transportation, you can reserve a rental car on Orbitz.com. The Rent-A-Car Center is located 3 miles from the airport, but the airport has rental car shuttles to transport passengers to the center.
Las Vegas has a subtropical desert climate; the weather gets hot and is mostly dry. The city experiences approximately 300 days of sunshine per year.
