The staff at the Residence Inn is professional, welcoming, gracious and very helpful and kind. The hotel is well kept, perfectly located for walking or subway all over New York. Breakfast was outstanding, food is fresh and the coffee was terrific. Highly recommend and this will be our top choice and recommendation for upcoming visits.

We liked the location of the hotel; we were able to see quite a few things with an easy walk. We were impressed by the room when we entered it. We had a king bed with a sleeper couch. However, we found the couch was so uncomfortable that we had to put the couch cushions under the mattress to help give it support. After the first night, however, even that didn't work and we just slept on the couch as a couch rather than a bed; that was not the best sleeping for nearly a week. The king bed mattress was okay, not fabulous but not bad; however, the pillows had no support. The minute you lay on them it is like laying on the mattress until you wad it up. The main thing was that our room was incredibly warm (it hovered around 76 - 78 degrees), which made comfortable sleeping difficult. We had to ask for it to be fixed several times, but it never got cooler than 72 or 73. Lastly, the elevator is incredibly loud. Our room was across the hall from the elevator, as we could hear it clearly in our room, even during the night.

The only convenience about this hotel is that it’s near so many tourist locations such as the Empire State Building and Times Square. It was unreal how many times we had to wait for the elevator because of how many people are using it at once. At checkout my friend and I walked down 16 flights of stairs because the elevator never came… The room was extremely outdated, it had a fridge so there was plus but the rooms are VERY close to each other to be prepared to hear a lot of noise. I’ve stayed at many hotels and this one is no more than 3/5 stars. I will say the staff were very friendly so nothing on them!

A great stay at the Residence Inn Marriott

The staff /service was excellent! Nothing was too much to ask! that goes for all staff (at lobby, at breakfast area and cleaning staff). Room was comfortable. Location was excellent. Whilst breakfast was plentiful, it should have more choices. The only real negative was the elevators: They take a long time, forcing lots of guests to use the stairs!

Fantastic property with attentive staff. Very close to Times Square and the Empire State Building, which I had a view of from my room.

Lovely hotel, staff were for the most part really nice and kind. Only problem we had was the wait for an elevator could take 20-30 minutes at busy times, it meant we had less time exploring the city on our last day as getting an elevator that was empty enough for us and our bags was near impossible and ate about and hour and a half from our morning.
