Nice pool . Great location. Good view. Friendly staff.

We booked a Deluxe King room and were pleasantly surprised to receive a courtesy upgrade to a suite. We were happy with the style, comfort and cleanliness of the room. However, on the morning of check-out, we were surprised when in-room dining was out of many common breakfast items on the menu (like bagels and cream cheese), and apparently, did not even have enough spoons to go around. I'll confess, that is a first for me...having room service arrive and apologize for being out of spoons. Really, you're in NYC. Go out and buy a few boxes of plastic spoons. Also, things were pretty hectic at check-out and the front desk seemed understaffed and a bit out of control. The gentleman at the front desk took my room card and indicated he would email me a copy of my final bill, which I still have not received. The valet workers also seemed a bit understaffed and overwhelmed. When we were checking in, the valet attendant left my car running with the key fob in the center console and just left the street to come into the hotel. No hard feelings, but I'm not a big fan of leaving my car running, unattended on the side of the road in NYC. Finally...the construction in the front of the building. Wow. This has to end. I recognize that the street work is most likely not the fault of the hotel, but the sidewalk sheds, barriers and fences make getting in and out, less than desirable and pretty chaotic.

The guy at the front desk who initially checked me in was a complete jerk. He didn’t even greet me when I came in; just starred waiting for me to say something. When I told his I requested earlier for an early check-in, he said nothing was available and told me to go get ready at the spa because there won’t be a room for the next 1-2hours. When I came back up to the front desk, the female clerk found us a room right away. Was disappointed by how small the room was And why the shower and bathroom floor merged so everywhere gets wet. Don’t plan to stay there again.

Great hotel, clean nicely decorated rooms. Rooftop bar was a little expensive, but very fun and worth the price.

We came for a staycation as we were looking for a hotel with a pool and this hotel was reasonably priced. The waitress at the pool was overwhelmed and/or un knowledgeable about the menu that she messed up two things on our order causing us to wait an extra 20 minutes AND pay more for wine that we didn't choose. All we got was a sorry even when we complained at the front desk. The bed wasn't that comfortable and the toilet made noise. As locals wish we would've slept at home. The pool itself was decent and the staff handing out towels were friendly.

I don't write reviews but I wrote this one I stayed in a lot of places and this was probably one of the nicest bang for your buck places I've ever been to. The rooms are spacious the amenities were plentiful and the staff was outstanding If you're going to New York I want to stay in the West Village listen to jazz eat well and watch comedy shows is the place to stay

We stayed for my friends bachelorette party. We were able to do early check in. The staff was very accommodating to all our requests/needs. Room was spacious and clean. Great experience and very fun!

Very nice and clean hotel. A bit trendy, however would recommend to others. Doormen were very polite. Room did not have a good view, but the room was nice for what we needed.

I stayed here looking for a nice relaxing getaway just to relax, unwind and have some fun. Between the great room which exceeded all my expectations and also the rooftop pool and bar this place is definitely somewhere I'd come back to again and again. Located right near Chelsea was perfect as there were some really cool bars and cafes which was just what I needed on my holiday.

Staff was friendly, rooms were spacious and very clean. Avoid the night club on the roof top, it is a bit Jeresy Shore.

Hotel was very nice and clean. Staff was amazing! Perfect Birthday weekend!

its a beautiful hotel located in a great area. only thing i can say is that I'm think that the need a coffee maker in the room vs things for hangover.

The room was small but the location is everything! We had a couple of issues with the shower leaking but someone came to the room right away to repair the issue (otherwise they were going to move us). They then called several times to make sure we were okay and sent us a bottle wine. The second issue we had was when we arrived back to the room in the evening we were asked 3 times for our room key because the top of the hotel there is lounge/club on the weekend open to the public. Even though it was understand the reason being a security measure we weren't advised of this during check-in so it did seem a bit annoying and we were being harrassed as a paying guest. However once again, we were sent a bottle of champagne. Overall the hotel is nice, the staff were friendly and the area is amazing

This hotel could not be in a better location for the Meat Packing, West Village, Chelsea and Soho. We walked to all and also walked over to Union Square and up to Eatily! The Subway was a couple of blocks away and took us everywhere else we needed to go. Hotel was super clean, room had space and bed was better than our bed at home. We were on the 4th floor and had no disturbances from the club upstairs. Staff was awesome, bar on site was fantastic. Best New York hotel we've stayed in yet.

Well managed hotel and staff that provides immediately solutions to your questions

Great area. Lots to do. Went with friends and we had a blast! Hotel bar on the rooftop is fun too!

Look, the Gansevoort is pricey, but you go for the experience and for the most part, you get what you pay for. The right to use the pool on a hot NYC summer day was the best part. Drinks are pricey, as expected, but delicious. Great scene on the roof. I wasn't overly impressed with the welcome from the front desk and had a small problem with the A/C in my room, but they fixed it pretty promptly. A really good service hotel would have offered something to make up for that issue. Overall, it was a good time!

the hotel was very impressive, its my second time there and i really enjoyed it.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The rooms were immaculate, the facilities including the rooftop pool and bar are amazing and provide a great place to catch up with friends or just relax. I have an awesome, trouble free stay here all the way from checking in to checking out. When I checked in I requested a view of the Hudson River that the girl at the front desk was more than happy to arrange for me even though the hotel was at capacity for that weekend given there was a wedding party staying there. The location is the best you can hope for. Its right near the Chelsea Market, a short walk from Bleeker Street and other attractions. Do yourself a favour and get away from the crowds at Time Square and treat yourself to a stay at the Gansevoort.
