This property was a great central location to stay for site seeing.

The staff is deligtful. The location is central and convienant. The rooms are specious and clean and beds are comfortable. The bathroom has a single sink and floor to ceiling glass enclosed shower, but no tub. Nice tile floors. This is a more eclectic artsy boutique hotel. It smells of incense. The hotel is fairly dark with an avant garde vibe. Two great restaurants on site. One on the roof. Both casual with good food!

At check in we were placed on a regular room (we booked and prepaid for a suite) without being told. Upon walking into the room and noticing the mistake I called down to the front desk and was informed that they did not have any suites available, but that they would have a manager adjust the price (the suite that we had prepaid was $500/night and the regular room rate was about $220/night) the next morning. On check out two days later the rate had not been adjusted but I was assured by the staff member at the front desk that she would have a manager handle it and call me when it was complete. Three days later and no confirmation call or adjustment to my credit card account I called and left a message for the hotel manager which has still not been returned. This is a lovely hotel and it is well located, but the handling of this situation is inexcusable.

Great room and service. The room was larger than expected, staff very friendly. Hotel has a great feel.

Great stay. Upgraded us for anniversary which was very nice of them.

Clean, did not smell stuffy like a hotel, nice shower with great water pressure, staff was so nice and helpful

stay was great. location is awesome. very friendly attentive staff. good place to stay.

Stylish and clean rooms, spacious for NYC. High end bathroom and shower. Central location.

Ambiance and candle scent were great. Excellent rooftop bar!

Our stay at your Hotel was a wonderful experience. To be honest, I have been many times in NY, but was never completely satisfied until now. The combination of your hotel, the places we visited and the work out I did, walking 10 miles a day, (which made me lose weight, lol) made it the perfect NYC experience!!! All I can say about the hotel is that it was absolutely ”PERFECT “, we had an incredible time . ALL the staff , Tayler the manager, Sydney and all the good guys at the front door and entrance were so friendly. I travel a lot, all over the world, and I have never encountered such a friendly crew ! Thank you for making our stay in NY the best so far. Will certainly come back to The Refinery.

Clean, spacious, hip rooms. Good walkable location.

The front desk and concierge staff doesn’t seem to care

Love the decor. Artwork, plaid carpeting in hallway.

Perfectly appointed rooms with great attention to detail. Staff is also very friendly. Coffee bar in the morning was a nice touch.

Loved the staff, very friendly and accommodating. The room was very nice, the bed was plush and super comfortable. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar. Great music and atmosphere. The restaurants have great food. I thought the room could be a little cleaner, given the dark walls and floors, it’s easier to notice accumulated dust on walls and floor edges. Overall we were extremely happy with the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

Only thing we could’ve used were some luggage valets (fold up ones) so we could set our luggage somewhere.

A beautiful, spacious hotel. Great location. A wonderful alternative to the way too many tiny European-style boutique hotels in which we have stayed in past visits.

Very nice hotel in a convenient location. Restaurant in the hotel is not very good however.

Beautiful hotel and location. But when we checked in, they didn't have the upgraded room we had reserved. They offered us coupons for food and drink in exchange, but we paid for a suite and wanted to get what we paid for. In the end, we were comped the last night's stay. Despite this glitch, we would recommend this hotel.
