Maid walked into my room when my do not disturb sign was on my door, She did apologize, my phone in the room didn't work, so I had to go down to the front desk to ask to speak to housekeeping, the white front desk guy (Mark) called me a racist. I mention that he is white because so am I and I'm not sure white people can be racist to other white people. When I spoke to a manager about why I was called a racist Ms. Scott (the manager) stated there was no good reason her white employee is calling her white customers racist. I have stayed at this hotel for the past ten years and I will never stay there again! Plenty of hotels in NYC, I reccommend you choose any one of those and pass on this property.

I have stayed here quite a few times and love the location. The staff are polite and helpful. The stay was satisfactory. My room was clean, but unfortunately there were some small flaws: the shower handle in the bathroom was somewhat loose, as was one of the coat pegs mounted to the wall. Only one plug/USB point was working (out of 3). They are minor things, and I understand that some guests can be careless in their treatment of property, but attention to detail makes the difference between an “ok” experience and a really nice one.

Gem in NYC

Lovely property, excellent value for the room rate. 24 hour coffe/tea/water service, and a lounge area on the 27th floor that was amazing. The staff are all excellent, responsive, helpful, always with a smile and a cheerful greeting. I’ll look here first when coming to NYC again

Absolutely amazing property! So clean and so quiet. Front staff was so welcoming and friendly. Love the security of the building - made me feel safe being in the city. Nice and close to Grand Central and almost everything was in walking distance. Would stay there again on my next trip to NYC.

Good location, staff was very nice and polite and the rooms were very clean. For nyc the room was spacious. The lobby was small and they did have a lounge room on the top floor but it didn’t have much amenities and was quite small.
