Overall it was a respectable stay. I'm giving it 3 stars because I appreciate when hotels allow you to check in a couple hours early if you arrived sooner than expected after a long drive. Rather than be told "No, our check in policy is 3pm. No sooner". Also i saw a hot tub in photos online in the pool area when researching the hotel. To my surprise after I finally got my room and changed into a bathing suit and rushed downstairs that the hot tub was gone! As in totally removed and area renovated to never appear like there was one. The pool felt like a solid 70F. Our bedrooom had 2 tv's but only one remote. AND LASTLY, after getting back to the room after a long evening after midnight. Both room keycards that were in different places and not next to anything magnetic coincidently didnt work. How conveneint. So that dreaded walk back again to the front desk was fun. Not very conveneint. On a postive, the breakfast was good their scambled eggs were great.

Well maintained, clean and very friendly staff

Well maintained building. Extremely clean. Very friendly staff. We only have 1 complaint. The beds were very comfortable, but the pillows are terrible. Three pillows per bed, 1 standard size and 2 about half the size of a standard pillow. They are very lumpy and bigger pillow was hard as well as lumpy. This not a real complaint but an eyesore as you walk in the room, the bed skirts need to be put on properly. At the end of the beds one side of skirt was touching the floor and the other side half way up the mattress and along the side of the bed the same way. I would definitely recommend this hotel just bring your own pillow. I will book a room here on my next stay in Orillia.

I was pleased with my stay. The complimentary breakfast (scrambled eggs, toast, bagels, pastries, coffee etc.) was good. Room was on the second floor and had a fridge and microwave as well as a Keurig machine (which I liked). I would definitely stay there again.

The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. Tub is new and taps, towel rails are very nice, trimmed with gold metal. Kitchen cabinets and furniture are real oak. Although it says a bar in the ad there is a bar counter but not open unless you ask front desk for a drink and they give you one, not a place you lounge.

The staff was great.Very friendly.But we had a boat with us and had to park in the ajoining property and it was dirty and we were nervous there might be glass or nails and cause a hole in tire.Not your problem but was happy with the hotel.Thank you.

I stay here once per year for a personal work "retreat". The suite is perfect to allow me ample and functional office space, with a nice bedroom that is separate fro.the work zone. Staff are extremely friendly and accomodating. The hotel is quiet and safe.

Stayed in room 215. Was in a joining room that accessed neighboring room without a lock. Not a secure room. Requested another room and denied. Patio door was wide open upon checking into room. Hair dryer broken. No sink plug in bathroom. Otherwise our stays here are usually great.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in April 2025. The room was clean and comfortable, though it was a little out dated. Our one issue was that the room was super warm. There were 2 fans in the room, so we figured this might be an issue. Overall, we might stay here again, but maybe not in the summer, unless it was just because of the change of season, and they haven’t switched from heat to air conditioning.

Nice quiet stay!

Very nice hotel! Staff are very courteous and kind. Room was very clean; bed was very comfortable. The hairdryer, however, did not work. The electrical outlet in the washroom section did not work. Value for price was excellent! Would go back again.

This is an older property which is kinda unique with character. Unfortunately our room was extremely warm and uncomfortable. The thermostat did not respond at all to rectify it. Even with the floor fan on, thermostat on AC, it was so hot. That meant a horrible night sleep. I did not appreciate the 10:10pm phone call to come to the desk to clarify Expedia payment. Breakfast staff were extremely friendly.
