We were not pleased with our stay. First of all, cleanliness was not up to par. When I see hairs left behind in the corners of the bathroom, watermarks on the faucet, stains on the bed covers I have concerns about what else is not being cleaned. Secondly, the bathroom was run down. The main light was some sort of plugged in bulb which was hung above the mirror that could only be turned off my unplugging it. Wallpaper was peeling away from the wall. The fan didn’t work. Renovations were being done to the building which wasn’t stated when we booked. We could hear noise until 9:45/10pm and starting back up by 8am. When you have kids who need a decent bedtime this is frustrating. We unfortunately weren't able to get our continental breakfast either due to no hot water available. Apparently during the Reno’s a water line was hit and according to their policies aren’t allowed to serve breakfast without hot water.
Now I understand that this isn’t a high end hotel chain and I’m ok with basic, however the night before we also stayed at a Quality Inn in Southampton and our experience there was great! Uncleanliness is not acceptable. Makeshift lights - unacceptable. Not informing customers about renovations and potential noise also unacceptable. Very confusing as the reviews from customers seemed pretty good overall. Thank goodness we only booked one night. We will not be returning.
