Overall hotel complex & room were average in cleanliness & amenities (breakfast, pool, WiFi). We stayed in Rm 319 for 2 nights where we encountered a few problems: 1) Showers -on the first day around 9 am we had only cold water and on the 2nd day at 7:30 am, at best luke warm water. 2) Toilet seat would not stay up due to the inability to raise it entirely up because it would bump into the permanent counter just above the toilet. This condition results in this being a wiener wacker and causing a mess if you are not careful. Not sure if this toilet seat problem occurs in all other rooms, but it is likely given this problem was caused by the contractor not coordinating the toliet/cabinet installation properly at the time this hotel was constructed and thus management has to be aware of the problem and has not addressed correcting it after all this time. 3) Bed sheets & pillowcases were clean, but tired/worn.

Breakfast not good. Also, one of the main reasons we booked this place was for the hot tub. Hot tub was out of service, when asked if it would be fixed anytime soon, was told it would take 30 days.

The breakfast food tasted like propane. Also, my kids (teens) couldn’t swim in the pool after 10 even though we were there watching. Also, the hot tub was closed and I’m curious how long it’s been closed. The doors on the rooms are very hollow and you can hear everything in the hallway.

Check in was very weird. Was told that we were close to our friends, but our rooms were quite a ways apart. Then I got an eye roll for having booked through hotels.com and not directly through their website. The hot tub was not functional - clearly planned - it was bone dry and tons of re-tiling tools and equipment were all over. No discount was offered for not having the amenities we called about and were told hot tub was open. Birthday party in the pool on a Saturday also, really who wants to swim with a ton of little kids! Not as good of an experience as in the past. Was not welcoming and made me feel out of place upon arriving.

The room was spotless and breakfast was very good. Hotel has a cute “north woods” feel. Our only complaint was that no attempt was made to shovel the sidewalk or carport. Parking lot also was very slippery!

I have stayed there plenty of times and usually love it but this time my boyfriend had left his phone behind in the room at checkout and when he went to retrieve it could not find it in the room. A housekeeper then goes “oh is this your phone” then goes straight to the bed and lifts the mattress where the phone was now stuffed between the mattress and the box spring. It was also put on silent by someone other than us. It’s quite obvious someone on the cleaning staff was trying to keep the phone since the house keeper knew exactly where it was and why was it shoved between the mattress and the box spring like that? It’s a shame because we usually love this hotel

This hotel has a lot of what a family would need to be a great place to stay on a ski trip. The rooms have a little extra space and a microwave with a fridge and mini sink. There was even a fireplace in the room that really improved the coziness of the space. The big issue is the age of the space. The furniture, beds, and bedding were all extremely worn. Not dirty, just worn. The lady at the front desk in the evening was gruff as well, and there was no maintenance person on hand in the evening to assist with a concern in our bathroom. The breakfast food was basic, but not really a dealbreaker. Overall it was a slightly above average option due to the room space with outdated and worn amenities and unfriendly service. We’d come back if we didn’t have another option, but will definitely look to avoid moving forward.
